Very lazy and outdated, in the past 4 years they have repeatedly messed up every one of my dad's prescriptions.

I honestly have no clue how they have a four star rating, Well yeah I do all the 4 stars are 10yrs old. There has never been one time in the years that I have been a customer there that I have not had to wait at least a half an hour on my prescription and this is always after me calling hours or even sometimes days in advance. Although early on, they did have OK service but in the past few years when all their good workers left and they literally have different high school workers in there every week and the main pharmacist Dave is rarely seen in there and your left with these ignorant arrogant assistant Pharmacy techs in the back not even pharmacist the pharmacist that’s there doesn’t even talk. It’s always the techs in the back and then they let the high school kids or the 60 year-old elderly women run the registers who may I add are the ones with the best customer service if you ever have had any interaction with anybody who works in the back, I can guarantee you if it’s been in the last year it wasn’t pleasant and anybody who has been a long-term Northside Pharmacy customer can attest to this. I guarantee it. A four star rating for them is ridiculous. I’m so glad I finally spoke up and said something about their lack of care or concern for their customers who are on medication that are coming from a doctor that they evidently need. Even before things came to a head I’ve been fed up with their horrible service, I have physically been inside the pharmacy and seen the staff break numerous HIPAA laws by discussing certain customers medications and degrading them to a certain extent by cracking jokes and laughing behind the counter and treating them like they’re addicts instead of minding their business and following the law and just doing their job and filling the prescriptions that their doctor Wrote personally for them. I just hope that me speaking up made it easier for the people who can’t speak up for their self because I take off work to see my doctor and have to get my medication filled the same day and I still give them hours of notice over the phone and the reps just ask your name and birthdate and hang up not even starting the process. It got so bad before I spoke up that I would have to wait until the weekend to get my medication when I am supposed to take daily, then I get in there now almost a week later n it still wouldn’t be filled! I am not even the type of person to give reviews or ratings but anyone who works in the medical field and treats people like that it’s really pitiful and I know there’s a lot of people especially elderly or on medications for different reasons scared to speak up for themselves so if it helped them just a little it was worth it to me. If anyone has had similar experiences with this pharmacy please atleast give them the proper review they do not deserve 4 stars and if there’s any honest former/current customers I know they have dealt with same nonsense or 100% for a fact seen other people be mistreated. maybe they are just bias 🤷♂️ but Elkton is a tight knit community and yes we have a variety of people but we don’t deserve to be treated ignorantly because they don’t like their job or are evidently just use to talking to people other human beings like that when I promise if you get a look behind that counter not one of them are better than anybody that walks through that door.

I thought Walgreens had bad customer service oh boy was I wrong. I called to check on prescription and spoke with Natalie where I was told to call my original pharmacy and call back in regards to my prescription. I call back to confirm that the order was not filled and that I spoke with Walgreens. And before she picks up the phone I over hear her talking to who ever in the back ground about my phone FIRST phone call and prescription which is very unprofessional. Anyway, She picks up the phone and I go to explain what the other pharmacy said that my prescription was not filled and they can process it now. She then says they are out. Which is fine I understand that it’s not in their control but I felt extremely rushed off the phone. I called back one last time to ask if I should call them to check on the medication availability to be filled what should i do in regards to this medication being out with you guys as well. And before I could get to the question she got very Loud with me saying you called several times WE DONT HAVE YOUR MEDICINE! And I was appalled about how I was being spoken to. I calmly explained that she was coming off not so kind. And that she asked me to call back on the first phone call. She cuts me off the entire time I’m explaining when I just have a question. I value good customer service and that wasn’t it . I don’t recommend .

This pharmacy is worse than Walgreens. I even had one script where they shorted me five pills had to go back in and confirm that they shorted me. They are also rude and very unprofessional.
I have a sense switch to a pharmacy in Northeast Maryland. Now this pharmacy I go to now are much nicer much more professional and I have yet to have any bad experience at the new pharmacy.
Don't waste your time here. There are more and better pharmacies around Elkton and Northeast.

My fiancé and I have been going to them for a while because we wanted to support a local business. Every-time we go in there, there is a new young kid behind the counter who is not qualified enough for the job. The employees and not very welcoming and we have never been greeted (I understand they become busy) and the other day two older men stood behind the counter and continued on with their conversation even after making eye contact with us, but never once said someone will be right with you or acknowledged. Our medicine is barely ever ready when we come to pick it up, or they start it when we get there. They aren’t consistent with their phone calls or texts for refills. I feel like they make the whole refill process harder than it should be. Definitely changing pharmacies.

Didn’t accept my insurance and never told me about it.Was going to this pharmacy for years. Always wondered why my medicine cost so much and had asked them numerous times about it and they told me my insurance didn’t cover much of the prescription and not that they don’t accept that insurance.

Picked this pharmacy out of location convenience but they do not have scripts ready until you go in - then they start filling it. There was a nationwide insurance outage one day and the girl just said insurance is out we didnt fill it. I was caught off guard so I should have asked follow up questions but they were kind of busy and I just wanted out of there. But she couldnt tell me the cash price or the Good RX price? I check my insurance claims a few days later (after picking up the script finally) and it says "you were charged this because of Northside Pharmacy" and the price seemed high. It didnt even look like they submitted it to insurance and insurance didnt pay anything for it. This American health system is so broke.

I have been a long time customer. However, there are always different kids behind the counter. The two older women are always lovely! The dress code here is little to be desired. Clearly, there is no dress code! My most recent experience was a very small, young girl wearing a shirt with her entire stomach showing. I can overlook blue hair and everyday clothes but I do NOT want to see your skin! Also, my RX is never ready. They will begin to fill it once I’ve arrived. So I sit there for 30-40 mins waiting!

I always try to support small businesses m, however, this place has completely gone downhill. No communication, medications on “backorder”, call in refills in the morning, go in the afternoon and the meds are still not ready, or the kids behind the counter not understanding simple math.

What happened to this place? I go in there on a Tuesday evening to have my son’s asthma medication Picked up. They tell me they can’t find his medication and someone will call me when they find it. Fast forward to the next day, I have to call them around noon and they say they tried to call me, but the wrong number was file and proceed to read back my correct number??♂️ Then the kid tells me the prescription is ready, come in and get it at any time. I go in to get it, and for a good 20 minutes they can’t find my son’s medication. It’s unfortunate, but I’m finding a different pharmacy.

Went in to order a pair of orthopedic shoe's. No one to help at this time. But someone told me l need a appointment. Was given a time and date. Returned to find no help again with a appointment! A pharmacist helped and picked out a pair. Was supposed to get a call back but never did! Poor customer service!

Has gone downhill. There excuse every time is we got busy. Called in a prescription and went and hour and half later to pick it up and it still wasn't ready. Cashier told me if I knew you were coming I would have put it in a different pile.
