Petsmart is okay- they always have the same few choices over and and over again for years now. Never really anything “new” except the “new” higher prices for the same items. It’s good for basic fish care and very, very basic small animal/reptile care- but I would learn about the animal or product you are getting elsewhere, before asking an employee for information. They often know starter information but not really beyond that.

I was so excited to take my two rescue dogs to Pet Smart and let them pick a toy. When we got to the register I was reprimanded by cashier for letting my dogs do this.

Elkton Petsmart is our favorite! We love Cara (training & now grooming!). She has been an incredible resource for our reactive pup. We have done multiple training classes and loved them. My dog has built so much confidence through the classes and visits. Staff are always friendly, efficient, and helpful. The store is always clean and well stocked. Great store in Elkton for pet owners!

This is not about this specific store, but PetSmart in general. It is not fair to accept potentially aggressive dogs but not cats who may swat. Cats need grooming just like dogs and most cats are going to swat at people (especially strangers). If the cat hasn't tried to hurt anyone it shouldn't be an issue. The company needs to better equip stores to actually be able to do their job.

After looking around and comparing reviews and cost of several different dog training options we chose to go through PetSmart (Elkton) as it was the most affordable. We just finished the 6 week Beginner course with Trainer Cara, and we absolutely LOVE her! Not only did she cover the curriculum but she took the time to answer any and all questions a first time dog owner could think of. She was patient with the fact that I was also learning as well as my pup.I honestly cannot rave enough about her. If your looking for a wonderful training experience I highly suggest checking them out.
