Absolutely the WORST customer service! Six people in line waiting, only one person working at the counter while four others sit at their desks doing nothing! Waited in line 30+ minutes because a wire transfer was reversed by Wells Fargo only to be told counter clerk can't handle those transactions and I have to sign up on the clipboard and wait more for someone to help me. This isn't stated anywhere!! Computer systems down as well. This branch is a joke! Most likely closing my account! This is interfering with refinancing my home and i am livid!

After being a Bank of America customer for 20 years, I'm closing the account. Customer service was terrible when i went in this week. I arrived at 4:45 and signed in, wasn't seen until 5pm, closing time, at which point the bank employee said he couldn't help me unless my husband was there (the employee had just served us both that morning and told me i needed to come back with some information.) I immediately told my husband to come to the bank, which was a big inconvenience. When he arrived at 5:15, i let him in the door so we could finish our business. The employee spoke with his manager, then the manager snuck out the door quickly. The employee then told us that his manager said he couldn't help us. So then we couldn't even complain to the manager since he left in a hurry. I was there before closing and we ended up having to leave without being helped. I agree with others that have posted here, choose another bank where the employees care about their customers and don't have terrible customer service.

I tried to get a cashier check for a large sum. I could not obtain one on day one because of some problems with a deposit, so I understand that. However, Parul Kapoor seemed very unaware of the cashier check policies and had to leave the table twice in 10-15 minute intervals to get answers from someone else. After one hour spent at the branch, they asked me to come back the next day at 9am to try again. I asked her if she would be present the following day at 9 to help me, and she told me either she or the operations manager would help me with no appointment necessary, even though I asked for one. On the next day, Parul was nowhere to be found at 9am. She had lied about her being there! Not only that, the operator manager Rheon Brooks, was unavailable for over half an hour when I asked to see her. Apparently there is only one individual in the entire bank who could approve that cashier check! Ridiculous! When Rheon finally found time to grace me with her presence, she asked me many questions to verify my identity, even though my identity had already been vetted in her presence just the day before. And in the end, she was unable to print the check because their printer could not print. What a joke! I was turned away to a neighboring BoA branch with a very insincere apology after I wasted another hour there. Within 10 minutes of entering the neighboring Turf Valley branch, I got my cashier check. This Ellicott City BoA branch has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in a bank. I will never bank with them again and I will definitely take my business to another company.

It has a very modern interior design, but very inefficient service. There's at least five client services Desk but only one desk was in action. The other desks were empty when there's at least four people in line and more are coming in. There's only two teller services so be prepared to wait a good amount of time for that.
