My wife and I really enjoyed the six-week hand building clay workshop. We signed up three times without any hesitations. We still have a lot more to learn and equally more ideas to develop.
The instructors are awesome with friendly and personalized encouragement and hands-on help when need it, or as you need it. The instructors can offer lots of ideas to explore or brainstorm if you get stuck, and of course they’re expert advice if you run head-first into a technical or creative obstacle.
The space is cozy and promotes fun conversations as you work. Genuinely, everyone in our class are just good people to hang out with and it’s a bonus on top of being in a productive and creative space.
We will return for more workshops after some travel and holiday plans. Highly recommended.
The pottery room next to our room always sounded like they were having fun. We will explore that side of ceramics too.

I had an amazing experience at this pottery studio! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the entire visit enjoyable from start to finish. They were patient, helpful, and really made me feel at ease, even though I was new to pottery. The atmosphere was relaxed and creative, and the whole experience was so much fun. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cool and unique activity!

I did a beginner's pottery wheel class where I made a bowl. The instructors were very nice and helpful. I will be going back to glaze it in a couple months

LOOOVVEEE this place!! My best friend and I went here for part of our girls' day outing, and it was so much fun!! The options available are great and geared towards letting your creative juices flow. I can't wait to go back and try some other class options!!

Don't come here or if you don't mind them for making you feel stupid. I was very excited and getting ready to reserve the slots for me and my friends but I had a question before I completed the online reservation. So, I called the studio. The lady over the phone was rude and laughing at the question that I asked. I’m a beginner with no knowledge of clay and she did not professionally educate me. I felt embarrassed and stupid for asking a simple question and I got laughed at. If I got treated that way just over the phone then I can't imagine how I’ll be treated if I attended the class. For this experience, I’m going to another Clay Studio that will take me to a beginner-friendly environment.

My favorite locally owned pottery studio in Maryland. The six week course was worth the waitlist for enrollment. Whether you take a one time class, or return for more- you’ll feel at home in this studio.

This was a great date night for me and my boyfriend. The instructors we had were great and ready to jump in and help if anything was getting messed up bad. You will need to make a follow-up appointment 3 weeks after the first class(separate scheduling and cost)to do the glazing class to finish your glass/bowl/vase.

My experience at this location was not a great experience. My husband and I were excited to have a date night out. Everyone is so nice the first class, but after booking for the second class to glaze that’s when our issue came into play. We prepaid $10 for the glaze part and called to make an appointment to do so, and the manger spoke to me crazy! I had to ask who’s the owner he said me I couldn’t believe it. He accused me of my not prepaying !!This is a small business and I do believe in supporting small businesses especially since Ellicott city has been through it. I will NEVER patronize this business again. Throw my piece in the TRASH can along with y’all attitudes!
