This guy is a criminal and I was disappointed when he filed my taxes only to get $100 I even paid him 85 dollars for his fees. He said because I worked two jobs and only made $38,000 I am still confused about what he would steal all my money for.

I left this review a year ago but it STILL STANDS AS A ISSUE. THE IRS STILL SAYS THE SAME THING.
I went to Beers Tax & Financial for at least 10 years, would tell anyone and everyone to go to this office to have their returns done, and would have never, ever in my life said I had an issue, until recently. I received papers from the IRS about 2 years ago in regard to a tax return that was done for me in 2019.
Now I owe the IRS a lot of money, for what I don't understand. The IRS is blaming the tax prep. I didn't complete it so how is that my fault? So I started trying to get ahold of Mr. Beers directly (bc he is the person who I always dealt with) but he was "never in" & his colleague was always busy. So it took nearly a year & a few phone convos with Douglas telling me it had to be "fake" IRS papers and there was no way they were real bc my return was sent electronically & they were saying they didn't have my signature but all the documents were signed by both parties. When I finally insisted enough that they were, in fact, REAL & I spoke to the IRS directly by calling them myself I was finally able to make an appt to go in. I went in with the papers from the IRS (and my copy of the return they filed "bc they didn't have their copy anymore") and go figure, Mr. Beers was there!!! (But not for that entire year I was calling before that) I was sent to see Douglas who briefly reviewed what I brought in and quickly leaned back in his chair "threw his hands up in the air" and nonchalantly told me there was nothing they could do & it was on me. Stanley briefly looked at the papers but barely said a word to me. I walked out of that office with tears going down my face bc I couldn't make sense of the matter and couldn't get a straight answer from them or the IRS.
I worked for the elderly for nearly a decade, which is hard work when you're caring for person after person and they all die one way or another. It's inevitable. All you can do is offer support and comfort...I don't need a reply and we both already know you didn't and aren't going to help me fix anything. Very disappointing. I walked out of that office more confused than when I walked in and had tears pouring down my face.

I have used Beers Tax & Financial Solutions for multiple tax years. I stopped going because the price to complete my fairly simple taxes seemed a little steep when compared elsewhere. However, I returned this year due to familiarity and some family members also utilizing these services. Due to my career I was not available to submit my taxes at the deadline and Beers thankfully included an extension. I was not made aware that interest and fees would be added on, which should be mandatory to report. I have had to physically come to the office multiple times to figure out how to combat this situation. I have had to personally call the IRS and state of Maryland to fix my amount owed even months later. I have had to lean on my positive tax history for appropriate adjustments which would not have been necessary if this was done properly. Dealing with this has been a nightmare I have not experienced with other Tax providers. Not to mention it’s almost impossible to contact the tax professionals unless they recognize your phone number. My calls would always be disregarded while other family members could call almost immediately after and be answered on numerous occasions. The only pros and reason I am giving 2 stars is because my taxes were completed promptly when I visited the office and my concerns were met with kindness. I will not be returning to get my taxes done at this establishment and I would not recommend them.

I went in to get a quarterly filing complete and it was inaccurate. Their mistake could have cost me ~$10k more. I pointed it out while I was in the office, and they insisted they were correct. I completed additional research when I got to my office and forwarded them the IRS code and they admitted being wrong. I was still charged for this service even though I did all of the research and all they did was provide me 4 pieces of paper. I would not trust them with future tax work and the fact that I was not reimbursed is even more embarrassing. Their blaming it on the software is only telling me that the level of tax knowledge in their office is no different than mine.

I have been going to Beers Tax and Accounting for many years now and everyone has always been so kind. I have never had to wait to be seen for more then a couple mins. Scheduling an appt is always quick and easy, have always been able to work with my schedule. Everyone that works there are very professional and always on top of things. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family, and I have.

Wow! They are fast and on the ball! Doug Davis did our half-inch thick return in one hour with an amazing refund. He's sharp as a tack.. He even found a rental depreciation that the previous big company (on TV) had missed altogether. We are so pleased!

Never had to do my taxes alone since my husband passed away he was the one that did it but they took good care of me. Suck kind people and clean. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place to anyone. Thanks
