What a wonderful farm and community! If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to ride, this is the place. As a nervous adult newbie, I visited Full Moon Farm this week and had the most fantastic experience. From the care and tending of each member of the team - my helper Kelsey, to my excellent instructor Christine, to owners Karen and Stephen, and Roxy, the horse I rode….all the absolute best! It’s such a beautiful landscape and place to visit! Thank you Full Moon Farm! Ever grateful!

Full Moon takes care of the details. They’ll accommodate beginners like me, which I haven’t found easily in other farms. Instructors are very personable and take the time to make you feel appreciated.

I was looking for a horse farm because I wanted to start riding again. I looked into Full Moon farm and when I spoke to multiple people, they told me about their bad experiences. I wanted to try for myself. When I started my instructor (Name I will not say) did not push me to my full potential whereas now that I am at my new farm I am doing things I only have dreamed about doing. The crossties are in an area that is too small where you could easily get hurt. I have almost been smooshed against a wall or kicked due to these enclosed spaces. I now know multiple people who have transferred their horses that they had been boarded there to another farm. I just had to put this out there for anyone looking for a farm to ride at. I did use an ALT email due to wanting to be anonymous.

I was going for my very first private lesson and didn't know the protocols because of this, so i didn't show up 30mn early. I was treated very coldly and ignored, then told to make a new appointment and pay again. It seemed like they just didn't want me there.

My sister and I attended the jackalope series last summer, and the staff was beyond supportive. Both of our horses were green, and it was the perfect show. Everyone there was super sweet, and created a perfect environment! I plan on attending again this year!

Great horse riding lessons for all age groups. Children are even taught how to care for their horse each week including safety measures. Great place.

I'm not sure about how they care for the horses or how the facility actually is, but whoever is driving their truck and horse trailer down interstate 95 in Virginia around 0700AM 1/5/23 is NOT a safe driver and will eventually cause an accident. Taking the horse's safety, as well as the public's safety, into account should be a top priority. Please have a conversation with your transport team and teach them how to safely travel down the interstate.

After 15 years out of the saddle, I decided to take up riding again. It took me several months to research a barn to ride at and I kept coming back to Full Moon Farm. I grew up in Carroll Co. in Gamber and my mom still lives there! I started lessons on Jan.2nd. My last two lessons have been with Christine! She’s awesome! We’ve discussed my goals and I’m looking forward to training with her! I’m also looking forward to when my 3 year old daughter can eventual join me! Thank you FMF for welcoming me and helping me remember why I loved riding!

My daughter has grown up at this farm. She has become not only a very accomplished rider, but a strong confident young woman. Fullmoon provides an environment for riders of all ages and abilities to grow and flourish. The instructors and staff teach the kids to become self sufficient about all things horses, not just riding. The kids mature in Fullmoon Farm’s barn family to be strong, observant and good decision makers. Safety for the riders and the horses well being always come first. Fullmoon Farm and the Fulton‘s have been a huge part of our life for the last 11 years and we wouldn’t change a thing!

I just recently started riding at Full Moon Farm. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The horses and ponies are wonderful to ride. The riding atmosphere is relaxed and soothing for the soul. I call my weekly lesson, my weekly therapy session. I love it here!!

This farm has a fantastic riding program, perfect for kids and adults, from beginners to novice riders. All the instructors are very professional, very safety conscious, and the school horses are all very well trained. I have many riding farms closer to me, but the lesson program at Fullmoon Farm is worth the drive. Check it out.

An amazing place for new riders and to grow as a rider. My children first discovered Full Moon Farms at ages 4 and 7 through a Groupon 10 years ago. The staff was incredible and we loved the experience. At that time we were hesitant to start lessons because the barn was a bit far for us to drive , but I regret that decision. My youngest daughter, now 14, went to various barns for summer camp and lessons starting when she was 8 or 9. When she became serious about her riding, we made the switch to Full Moon Farms and decided it was well worth the drive. When we looked at the cost of the lessons, we realized Full Moon was far more affordable than any barn we had ridden at. At first I was concerned about moving from individual to small group lessons, but quickly realized this was a far better choice. My daughter grew from a very shy girl, to having lots of friends through riding. Not only that, the small group lessons allowed her to challenge herself as a rider. Full Moon has a large variety of horses for lessons, which allows riders to start with a beginner horse and move to horses that can help them challenge their skill development. I love the fact that my daughter gets to ride different horses in her lessons. The kids get to learn about all of the horses at the barn and develop close bonds not only with the horses, but with their trainers, staff and other kids at the barn. . My daughter began riding once a week and did a few summer Farm Family shows. From that experience she decided to join the NCSSEL ridinb team at Full Moon and afternoon a year on the team, we decided to lease her a horse. I was very hesitant about costs, until I realized how affordable Full Moon Farm makes the cost to join riding teams and to lease. The trainers are top notch and really care about the kids. The camp at Full Moon is also a wonderful experience, as are the day Horsemanship Programs. This barn has it all!! I only wish we had started her lessons at Full Moon years ago rather than trying other barns.

My girls love their instructors, the horses, and the overall farm atmosphere! This is their home away from home!
