We chose Forest Hill Heights over a neighboring assisted living facility because it was brighter; had activities to offer every single day of the week; allowed essentially 24 hour visitation (not just 10 to 6 or 10 to 8); and allowed us to bring our dogs in and walk around with them rather than stopping with them at the front door. Dogs were an integral part of my mom‘s life and, as it turned out, important to many of the residents as well.
They also have nursing staff present 24 hours a day, not just on call for the evening and overnight hours.
Why would we RETURN to Forest Hill Heights? My mom was there for the last year of her life. When she behaved poorly, the staff handled her professionally. When she had health concerns they took care of her and communicated with me immediately. They cooperated with the Gilchrist Hospice staff who came in to see mom every week. The staff were always friendly and patiently cared for my mother, making her feel special and taking a large burden off of the family and letting us enjoy the time we had left with her.
Upon mom‘s passing, I walked out of her room and found three of the aides in tears in the hallway. How much more personal can you get than that?

Forest Hill Heights is AMAZING! Lovely facility, caring, knowledgeable and super dedicated staff. Everything I could want for my dad. I have such a sense of relief knowing he’s there and being cared for with kindness, respect and expertise in his issues! The staff made every part of the process of moving in and getting my dad settled easy and stress-free. Forest Hill Heights is a gem in the heart of Harford County.

I have watched all the posts on Facebook for well over a year before deciding to take a tour of the facility. It is a difficult decision to place a loved one, but I assure you that all the staff here are phenomenal. They treat all residents as if they are their family. They know every resident by name and all of their family.
I am so glad that I chose them for mom. I know that she is in great hands
Thank you to all the staff here at Forest Hill Heights.

Great staff! I feel that are very caring towards all their residents. Attentive to their needs. Food is fantastic. Everyone has been amazing. I toured many facilities and I felt this was a great fit for our family. Better than expected after we moved in. I am so glad we chose Forest Hill heights.

My mom (Nancy Palughi) lived here for 5 years until her passing in October 2024. The staff treated her like family. They knew who she was within her first week of being there. They knew my mom loved her Hallmark shows on TV and drinking her Sprite. The nursing staff always kept me informed of any medical changes in my mom immediately via a phone call. If I signed her up for an activity or craft, the team made sure she attended by going to her room and gently persuading her to attend. The main reason why I give FHH (5) stars was because during her hospice time, so many staff members came in to hug her and me. I witnessed staff members cry when they saw her fading away. The director of nursing (Rachel) sat there with me for several hours telling me her favorite memories of my mom. Rachel was even there when my mom took her last breath and was the first person to hug me. My mom never once complained about FHH or the people that worked there for her 5 year stay. My mom always said she loved Rachel and the ice cream at FHH. This place is money well spent for your loved one and your peace of mind. They may not have all the bells and whistles of Brightview, but they have something better, a loving and caring management team & staff.

This place is awesome!!
The employees work hard (every one of them) to make the residents happy and healthy. My mom has started singing since coming here about a year ago. She is 93 and in the last stages of Alzheimer’s but that hasn’t stopped the nursing, activity, maintenance, housekeeping, finance and food staff from making each day the best possible. They find and treat medical issues that I would never be aware of. They take her on van rides and play games with her. They monitor her food and have moved her to puréed. They treated her in-house for everything without sending her to the hospital or another facility.
And they are kind to me, the family. They understand the choices I am making and are always helpful. I can’t praise them enough. Thank you Michela and your wonderful crew!

We moved my mother into FHH in the fall of 2022. Susan Goad was very thorough and sensitive in walking me through the facility and explaining things. It’s extremely tough making this move for your parent and everyone there made it as smooth and easy as anyone could hope for during such a difficult phase. After being there for 8 months, I can confidently leave this very positive review for them. I honestly have not met one even remotely less-than-stellar worker there among the nurses, aides and dining/cleaning/maintenance/office/front desk staff. The enthusiasm and cheer and compassion from the folks there are limitless and so refreshing. They have so many activities and special events…even though my mother hardly participates in them yet, lol, I’m glad they are there when hopefully she’ll turn a page and open up a bit more to join in. I highly endorse this assisted living home.

My mom lived here for 3 1/2 years before she passed away from "old age". She loved the staff and often referred to them as "family". I couldn't have asked for a better place for my mom, as the staff is caring, kind and sweet to the residents. There are always plenty of activities to chose from, if you are bored "it's your own fault". The dinning room offers a variety of food choices and is delicious. My mom thought the world of the staff and loved to joke back and forth with the "girls" as she would call them! Thank you for taking such great care of my mom!

My Mom has been here for 1 1/2 years. The care and attention they give to her is wonderful (and although my Mom is very sweet and loving, she is not well and is very high maintenance.). The renovation to the facility is beautiful and very cheerful and bright, the rooms are nice and she loves the food. Knowing that she is in a safe environment surrounded by a great staff is comforting for my family. The ladies at the front desk, nurses, med techs, helpers, dining staff and management are always very pleasant and always ready to help!

My 93 year old mother moved here in December after a stint in rehab for a broken leg. I visited three assisted living facilities in Bel Air, but after visiting Forest Hill Heights, my decision was made immediately. I have never seen such a clean, bright, open facility. All of the staff are friendly, kind, and always courteous. My mother enjoys the food immensely. She was living on her own until she broke her leg. I know she wasn’t eating well at home. The menu changes daily, so there are plenty of options. My mother is really comfortable at Forest Hill Heights, and I am less worried about her now. It’s been a real weight off of my shoulders. I would highly recommend Forest Hill Heights.
