I was really looking forward to an amazing experience as the location is convenient, it's home-based, black-owned, and reasonably priced. Well 4 days after my first experience I am typing a one-star review with a chipped nail and a sore foot from the 1 inch open wound I received at Cre8tions during a pedicure. I love that it's all men and again home-based but I hate that I had to wait almost 30 minutes to be seen when I made an appointment online. The nail tech guaranteed my acrylic fill in would last 3 weeks . It didn't last four days. I sent a picture of the chipped nail to the owner but I was ignored . During my pedicure , the skin on top of my foot was scraped to the white meat with a pumice stone . It bled heavily . I was charged full price for the pedicure and told sorry. Better Customer service would definitely help this business retain new customers. If your stylist made a mistake , offer some form of amends to show your remorse and gratitude to the customer.

I honestly was shocked at first at the location, but my experience with Miss Ashley was great, very pleasant and she made me very comfortable. I definitely will be returning for again.

Let me just begin by saying, the address listed here is incorrect. The place is actually a house on a regular street that was transformed into a salon. I had to call once I pulled up to ensure I was at the correct location because It didn’t look like a typical place of business on the outside.I made an appointment from the link on their Instagram page where your not allowed to choose your own nail tech as a first time customer. One is randomly assigned and you have no idea who they will be until you arrive. The nail tech I was given was a quite rude and standoff-ish.He was at least 15 mins late for the appointment and didn’t apologize for being late or even greet me when he walked in. First thing he said to me was “you waiting for me?” Meanwhile this was my first time at the salon and I didn’t even know who he was. I asked him to freestyle my designs since I was going on vacation and didn’t know exactly what I wanted which he rudely told me he didn’t freestyle. I then showed him an idea of what I wanted from the Cr8ations IG page and he told me that wasn’t his work with an attitude once again.I then asked to see some of his work so I could choose something. He told me to pull out my phone again and go on his IG page to look. Not to mention after just one week, one of my nails are already broken and a crystal fell off. I tried to support this salon since it’s Black owned but the customer service is awful! My nails looked nice when the nails tech was finished but as I said earlier, one broke within a week. Had the customer service and professionalism been better I would’ve brushed the nail break — off and returned for a repair but I don’t think I’ll be returning due to such poor customer service. I didn’t feel welcomed or comfortable at all. Treat your new customers better in order to gain consistent clientele. Going to the salon is more than just a service, it’s an experience. Make it a fun, polite and positive one and you’ll have loyal tipping clients forever!

The first time I went it took around 4 hours for a mani pedi. The second time I went I waited for 45 minutes - during that time I called someone else and booked an appointment to go there the next day.Everyone who is saying the management is unprofessional. It's spot on. I would've loved to help, but she honestly did not seem to care about money walking out the door.Other black owned options:Sassys (okay - not great because you have to get the right person but will service you on time and treat you well)NailBed and Bar (exquisite)I hated to write this honestly. I want us to do better...but this aint it.

I WISH I could give negative stars. I made an appointment on a Thursday for the following Tuesday. I get TO THE APPOINTMENT on time only to find out my nail tech would not be there, and the only reason I was informed was because I CALLED THEM to make sure I was at the right place because the address on Google is not the right address. I’m extremely disappointed. I needed my nails done for my birthday Saturday and had high hopes in supporting a local black business who seemed to be very talented... unfortunately I was wrong, and had to settle for am around the way chop shop. As a fellow nail tech I would never do my client’s like that! So disappointed smdh.

First off, Google lies because they are definitely open.. I ADORE the entire staff! They are ALWAYS professional, yet open, friendly, and down to earth. The shop, itself, has a wonderful and efficient layout; unlike most nail salons that stack their nail technicians and cosmologists on top of each other.. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Beauty Bar. They are full service: you can get your hair, hands, feet, lashes, brows, and waxes here and they are entirely Black Owned and Operated.Don't trust the bad reviews. ..I have NEVER had any issues with management. They NEVER have inappropriate conversations that one could "expect". And, I'm going to tell you this: if you walk in there with a snooty attitude, it will be dished back to you. Approach people the way you want to be approached and treated... Period.

I'm all for supporting black businesses, but I went in today to try it out, but there was only 1 nail technician and he refused to assist me because he had an “appointment on the wayâ€. Which I understand, but offer me some alternative. Then as I walked out he was snickering. What was so funny exactly? Regardless, I wasn't trying to argue to be childish back with it, but it rubbed me for sure the wrong way I will never go back into this place. Which is sad because I'm definitely a loyal customer and I wanted to see what skills the shop had to offer.
