10/10 would not recommend
It seems like everyone who works there has a constant attitude. They do not mind wasting hours of your own time but God forbid you waste a femtosecond of their time.

My review is in regards to the swearing in process here at MEPS. As a parent, we were mere seconds from our son swearing in and they halted the process and kicked all families out of the building. They gave no reason for it initially, just treated the civilian families with a lack of empathy or respect. We are all made to wait outside with no real follow-up of what was taking place or when our children would be sworn in. Furthermore, a female second lieutenant yelled at one of the members of our party for parking in the wrong parking lot. She came across as very aggressive to the person that interacted with her. I want to make it clear, the unprofessionalism displayed towards the families was done so by the military officers, the enlisted members and civilian staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. I am a retired service member and how the families were treated here today was one of the more unprofessional experiences I have witnessed during my association with the military. Very disappointed and disheartened by this whole experience.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Worse than useless, this station is a pox on the armed forces. Went through here years ago and they cancelled my appointment, only told me when I arrived, and neglected to inform my recruiter. They would have a tactical temper tantrum if you waste 0.9 femtoseconds of their time but they will not hesitate to waste 9 hours of your time. Despite some employees being alright, this MEPS was not merely rude to me, it was downright disgustingly disrespectful to myself and others.

I had a great experience. I enlisted with the Marine Corps and the liaison was very helpful. The staff at MEPs can be very rigid and direct in their tone/delivery but I’m not surprised considering the number of people they get daily. I came across some very nice doctors who were very warm and welcoming, i.e. Dr. Jones and Dr. Prince. The process is very organized and structured so everything was done in two days for me. There is a lot of waiting involved but if you’re prepared the process is very smooth. Overall I had a positive experience and the staff was on top of getting everyone out the door as fast as possible as long as you cooperated and did your part.

I cannot emphasize this enough. The Baltimore MEPS station is an absolute disgrace, especially the navy department. They are given little paperwork and take several months to give a simple answer. Most times they request more paperwork after several months and the go ahead and take another several months to review said paperwork. I have been in the office myself twice and they just sit in there and joke and talk about the applicants who have contacted them in a disrespectful way. Complexity unprofessional, disrespectful couldn't even begin to sum up their behavior and attitude. It clearly takes absolutely no effort to get a job there as it seems they'll hire just about anyone. My recommendation in all honesty is just do community college or whatever you're planning on do. Your recruiter will never tell you exactly how long the process will take as they know it'll make you not want to waste your time.

If you have any medical history at all, go to a different MEPS. These doctors here want to see every piece of paperwork that doesn’t exist before you can come on base, including your death certificate!!

They purposefully set me up for disqualification mainly due to the fact that they didnt even check my ears but said i needed a consult appointment when in reality they went no where near my ears and wanted to just get me and my group ovwr with just to socialize because thats literally what they mainly did, not to mention a girl from the group almost ate a moldy sandwich that THEY MADE....woild not recommend

GREAT PEOPLE!!! They may sound harsh -- sometime too harsh -- but they are extremely helpful and will do everything to make sure qualified personnel qualify for the Armed Forces. I am really proud of every single one of them working in there; they are true Americans, who are doing excellent job for both, the American people and the US Armed forces. Love ya all!

-0 stars. FYI, make sure you check your information as it's being entered and your bonus amount. Other wise, you will definitely see common core math. For example a 20,000 on your contract follow by ending paying you the first year 3,600 after taxes. That's right, the numnuts entered the incorrect amount of 10,000 on the system but the contract says 20,000.
