1 start only because 0 stars is not an option. I walked in at 630 one morning, and it looked like the store was being taken over by a crime family. The reason I say that is because each employee looked at me as if I was interrupting a heist. Looking for a quick breakfast before work, I stopped at the Starbucks counter, and the young lady on her phone looked to be hiding behind a board so that no one could see her. Nothing that I liked was available, so I'll just grab some fruit and keep it moving. I grabbed a container of watermelon and went through self check out with no issue. On the way, I decided to grab a cube of watermelon only to find that the container was not secured and easily opened. Ignorant me still grabbed a cube and found that the watermelon was acidic. I had to dispose of the crewed watermelon back into the container and disguised it when I had a chance. A year ago, I decided never to return to this establishment and should have stuck with that decision.

I buy $6 subs and they never tell you everything it's on the sandwich also you don't know what kind of cheese you're getting. They seem to put the same cheese on all the sandwiches which is like white American cheese it seems even on the Italian sandwich it's supposed to have provolone... They don't even put swiss cheese on ham. On top of that when they give you a sandwich there's no meat. There's like two or three thin thin slices that stretch the whole sub it's a rip off

On November 1, I left my cellphone at this location when I went to Starbucks at 10am. At 1pm, I realized my phone was missing and had my husband go back to the store to see if they had it. Emil in customer service said they have no phones.I went to the store myself at 3pm and went to customer service and Emile held up an old phone and said that's the only phone he had in the drawer. So I used my Apple Watch to ping my iPhone and I could HEAR my phone ringing from behind the counter. Although other customers heard my iPhone pinging, Emile, the store employee, pretended he could hear nothing as my phone rang & rang & rang in the drawer next to him. When I saw the manager, I stopped her and asked her to retrieve my phone because she too could hear my phone ringing. She then opened the drawer and handed me my phone. The manager then made excuses for her employee's behavior stating they have "no dedicated lost and found."I call that attempted THEFT and I reported the store to their corporate office.

On March 16th after a family affair we had a small get together at my brothers place. I ran into the store for a few things that we needed. The store was practically empty. I zipped down the isles and then made my way to the register. I was feeling tired so I went to a cashier and boy am I glad I did. Out of all the Safeway(s) in the area this is the first time that checkout was 100%. I approached the young lady named Wendy she said hello and did you find everything okay. She quickly checked me out even put my bags in the cart as they were filled with drinks. WOW! I paid and for the first time a cashier asked me do you play monopoly. I said you are the first cashier to ask me that. She smiled and told me to have a good night. Amazing, simply amazing. Wendy is top notch. Retail is tough - I was in the industry a few years ago. I looked for CS representatives like Wendy. They were hard to come by. Thank you Wendy for the greatest experience ever at a Safeway in the DC, MD and VA area. You're BRILLIANT and I hope your supervisors see this!
