Avoid this USPS location for passport appointments. I made appointments for my two young kids weeks ago for this morning, only to show up and be told by an employee who could not care less that “all passport appointments before 11 AM were canceled” and that “the supervisors should have called to tell you.” In fact, I received no email, text, phone call, or voice mail from anybody at USPS to inform me. When I told the USPS employee this I was offered no apology, nor was I offered an alternative solution to the inconvenience that USPS caused. I have now had to make a new appointment several weeks away from today for my kids — at a different post office, because I’m not about to be made a fool twice at this location.

….and the Customer Service Rock Star Award goes to….Victor, Lead SSA. 🥳🥳🥳
Yesterday, my daughter and I went to the Ft Washington Post Office for passport renewal services. Victor was so professional, kind, efficient, and knew exactly what he was doing.
The Department of State sent us a letter that her passport renewal application was received, but we completed the incorrect form and provided us with the correct form and instructions for next steps.
Victor greeted us warmly. We had our part completed and Victor immediately knew what to do. What a breath of fresh air. I believe we were in and out within 7 minutes. I told Victor that he was a God-send. I was sharing this experience with a friend and she also commented that she has been serviced by Victor multiple times and the experience has always been phenomenal
Keep doing what you’re doing, Victor! Your efforts are not in vain. God Bless

Once again the Ft Washington Post Office has delivered my package to the wrong house. I ALWAYS worry about my correctly addressed mail being misdelivered. I'm forced to give this complaint a one star to get it posted. This poorly managed and staffed office does not deserve a single star.

I use our post office alot. The customer service is excellent. Only recommendation is have is when the line is long, they get another person to work the line.
The reason I am writing this review is the door (s) are not working correctly. They make a loud slam each time a person enters or exits. It would definitely get on my nerves if I worked there and had to listen to that for 8-10 hours. It also scares the person who just came in and is annoying yo the folks waiting in line. Please get the door (s) fixed. All employees are kind, helpful and very patient.

Today my daughter went to this office to recover a package that was scanned delivered 4 days ago and never showed up. The clerk took our information down and I just knew it would be days before they would call and say that they couldn’t find the package. But in less than a hour the package was delivered to my home and the supervisor called to verify that it had been. Thanks for the wonderful customer service

Made a passport appointment for today at 2:45
Pm I got there 10 minutes before and who ever was suppose to do the passport had left and it was close even though the sign says it closes at 3
Pm . Nobody called to notify me . I had made another appointment for Saturday and they called the day of the appointment stating it was a glitch and they don’t do appointments on weekends . This is really inconvenient and annoying .

This was my third or fourth time utilizing the passport service here and I just want to give a huge shout out to Victor. He has been there every time we’ve gone in for this service and is always kind and professional and efficient and makes what could be a bureaucratic headache so easy.

The Fort Washington Post Office is a clean and safe facility to use. This location offers services such as Passport processing, PO boxes and of course mail. The post office has a knowledgeable and efficient staff handling every aspect of the mailing process.

You have got to be kidding me. This place is a joke I came in on Saturday12-16-2023 (it’s the holiday season) to mail off packages to grandkids. It was two people a guy and a lady. The lady kept walking away talking on the phone leaving the guy alone. I stood in line for far longer than I would have liked. Anytime I come into this post office I dread it. They have recently became so slow

Twice in the last month they have failed to deliver a package from ebay. The first time was 3 weeks ago. They stated on tracking that package was undeliverable. I went to the FT washington location. The employee I talked to. Said it was SOP for when the package wasn't put on the mail truck. He did get the package for me. Now I get a poorly written undeliverable receipt on Friday. I expect my package today. Postman who is a substitute. Tells me he doesn't have my package. Now I am hoping it's at FT washington location. I will be there Monday morning. This service is unacceptable.
