Awesome thrift store with tons of really cool and reasonably priced vintage clothes and other stuff. Only downside is that the stock doesn't change very often. Highly recommend.

Returned after a couple of years and it welcomes like an old friend, even if you find nothing it's a familiar stroll in wide aisles through unpretentious booths. It's ordinary people stuff, nothing very old, and generally priced reasonably. You'll find decorative housewares, kitchen stuff, some framed art and posters, some vintage clothes, advertising, and lots of books spread over two floors.

I only got a couple postcards, but it was really great and I can imagine going back if I'm in the area again. It's pretty big and the prices were good on books and clothing.

Meh mostly knick knacks and decor. There needs to be a better selection of soda advertising to liven things up.

This is a fairly nice antique store. It's not as much the treasure chest it had been back in the 80s as it's changed several times over the years. I'll not lament the many times I've spent searching this location in the past for those days are long gone. But, I did visit this past weekend and was happy to find a few spots of hidden treasures scattered about. I did find a few treasures to purchase at a more than fair price. This chop is not as polished as others in Frederick City, and, to be honest, I like it that way. I've been to this shop for over 30 years and watching how it's changed reminds me of how antique shopping in Frederick has also changed. The "Bargain" antiques and curiosities that once were available have given way to more modern or posh items. But, this shoppe has kept more close to it's origins than other shops here in Frederick City. The persons running the cash register were very friendly and helpful, even on this busy Sunday afternoon just before Christmas.Things to be found here: There is a very nice vintage clothing section at the front of the shop specializing in Women's clothing. I browsed through there and all the items I viewed appeared to be whole and in good shop. This really was a nice, heavily stocked stop. Well worth the visit if you are in search of vintage clothing.Other stalls in the shoppe contained a lot of the usual items that one would wonder why they have even been put up for sale. And in a few of these shops I did manage to find a few things I purchased.A brass-wire brush with wood handle for scrubbing metal parts. This I think is my favorite find. It had obviously been quite often in the past, the wood was aged, dark brown with a wonderful feeling and look as if I had just pulled it from my grandfather's took chest.I also purchased a small hand tree saw used for branches. This saw was probably from the 50s and its condition was aged enough to make it not immediately usable, but with the help of my new wire brush and a file I'll put the teeth into a sharp biting condition and the rest of the saw in a polished shape. A bargain at only $4.The final item for purchase was a wood plaque with the Cub Scout Motto. My wife was quite happy I found this as it's construction matches that of a wood plaque we purchased years ago with the Boy Scout Motto on it. We've never seen these anywhere before so it was quite the surprise to find one for the Cub Scouts. Now, if we can only find a Girl Scout version we could have a complete set! Results: Nice shop, lots of stuff, lots of stuff no one would buy, most prices are very reasonable. Friendly staff. Recommended.

It's a cool place to browse with a lot of neat vintage goods. I'm a book guy, and there are lots of different book sections throughout both levels. There's a lot to look at spread over two levels, and it has a cozy feel. Lots of small breakable items, so you'd likely have to keep a close eye on small kids. The workers have always been quiet and friendly, which just adds to a nice, casual experience.

Unique variety of vendors. Prices are very reasonable. The building itself is worth the trip. Make sure you bring a flashlight or use your phone to see everything, some areas are not lit well

Very cool antique store. Tons of stuff to see, not so much to buy. It was almost like an antique museum. Everything was easy to see and move around but ended up not finding anything that really caught my eye. Tons of ladies antique clothing and paintings but not much when it came to cameras or old electronics.

Cannon Hill is located in an ancient granary within walking distance of the historic district. It seems that it’s been in business for quite awhile- I recall shopping there as a teenager. Reviewers have commented negatively on the rustic nature of the place but I much prefer this look over a well-lit carpeted place in a strip mall. The highlights here are an excellent vintage clothing booth at the very front and a very well-curated bookseller whose wares seem to be situated throughout the building. There is also a top-notch vintage kitchenware booth on the first floor and treasures to be found in other booths as well. A few booths are supremely disorganized and more or less unbrowseable (did I coin a new word there?) but that is my only criticism. Definitely worth checking out.
