Just received a call from someone in Misourri from this company to deal with a billing issue in Maryland that has been going on since February. Absolute WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced. (Notice how they only reply to 5 star reviews....very telling)

Fortunately I own my my tank, I have been a customer for more than 4 years and general have not had any problems. However, lately customer service has become a true burden when using their service. They might have the best prices in MD but it comes a serious cost to your mental well being.There is no method to escalate a problem and customer service doesn't communicate with dispatch. They were well aware I was running out of gas and informed me gas would be delivered on 3 different occasions. No one will return your call even after promising to do so. They informed me on a Friday the delivery would take place at 2:00 and no matter what the driver would be there. Then when I call before 5:00 I was informed the driver has driven to many hours and no one would be coming to fill our empty tank. Now we have to go the entire weekend without any gas for heating, hot water or cooking. This is the way they treat a customer that has been with them 4 years, I would hate to see how they treat new customers. Absolutely do not use, there are other companies out there with better customer service. I'm switching and will never ever use them again. Period!!!!

Previously I was happy with the service as they had me on automatic refills and I had zero issues. They then changed my account to “will call”, without notice and I ran out of gas. I called, they said I would be put back on auto and I should be good. I’m now out of gas again and they want to charge me $150 to get expedited refill and said I wasn’t added back to auto refills. As a parent of 3 kids and my wife and I work FT jobs I don’t have time to constantly check our level of gas. That’s why I was on auto refills. Seems like a shady move to get folks to pay big fees for “emergency” refills. I’ll be getting my gas from a new company going forward. Even if it means we go longer without gas because this is unacceptable!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They claim on their website that that they are "always looking for ways to give back to the communities we live in and serve," but Ferrellgas completely failed my daughter. She ran out of propane less than 2 months after her tanks were filled. When she reported her problem, it took almost a week for her to get propane. She was then told that the reason the propane ran out so quickly was because of holes in her tank (actually, it is their tank). It's a good thing the weather has been mild, but shame on a company that would let this happen to anyone at anytime.
