Liz made my experience so much less stressful. She was patient and ran numbers to see what would be best for me financially since I have 2 other units at another facility. She even stayed after closing to help me and was so friendly throughout the experience. She never made me feel like I was inconveniencing her by coming in so close to closing and having a million questions.

I was looking for affordable self storage to empty my garage, shed, and basement of storage bins, and went with the Frederick Self Storage on Monroe St. The storage areas are clean and not smelly, they don’t bombard me with ads or promotions, 5 days before my bill is due I receive a wonderfully concise email, and 5 days after the bill was due I’ll often receive a courtesy call from the lovely lady who manages the facility, offering to take payment so I won’t be hit with a late penalty. She’s always cheerful, and she makes it so darn easy to pay! I really appreciate that she makes the courtesy call; 2022 has really been hitting me hard (and it’s only been 5 days!!), and she made this one chore a little less painful.

We used them for about a year. The lady at the front desk is SUPER nice and friendly.One star was removed because they don’t prorate upon move out, so know that if you move out early in the month after having just paid, you will not get your money back for the days you didn’t use your storage unit.So just a tip: their billing cycle starts on the 24th, so if you want to avoid paying a whole other non-refundable month upon move-out, make SURE you have your goods out, unit swept, lock off and notify them by the 23rd.

This facilities used to be great but there new management and predatory practices have become ridiculous. My auto pay credit card expired and I was called after the due date so they could charge a late fee. I wanted to move to a smaller unit and was told it would be more expensive for the smaller space and a change fee. The unit I have is always full of dirt because of the door rubber worn out. Stay away and find a better option.

Unreliable for a Uhaul pick up. Had a reservation to pick up at another location. Reservation was changed to pick up here. The code for the combination lock I was given contained letters, the actual lock on the truck had numbers. Waited an hour outside in the cold while customer service tried to get ahold of someone to no avail. They ended up sending me to a different location to get a truck. So I had to take another Uber to this new location.

Don't leave your unit unlocked, they will give it away to someone else.It wont matter if your rent is paid to the end of the month.

Can I give this place less than 1 star? The place is not maintained well at all. They have had problems with their computer system saying my unit is behind in payments when it's not because it's set up for automated monthly payments. The exit gate frequently malfunctions, I was personally trapped in the facility for over 30 minutes waiting for a family member to come get me out because the gate wasn't working, no one was in the office, and there is no emergency number to call for help. Not having a working exit gate means the entrance gate is often left permanently open to allow people to get out which means it isn't really a secure facility because anyone can come and go as they please. All you need are some bolt cutters and you can help yourself to any unit you want! I went to the office today to talk about the issue of being stuck in the facility and the employee could obviously not have cared less. I wasn't given an apology or anything. I was told that the gate seemed to be working fine when she tried it, but maybe rain had gotten the sensor for the exit gate wet which often distrupts it's service. Well hmmm...1) why would a storage facility have a system that does not work in inclimate weather? 2) IT WASN'T RAINING THE DAY I GOT TRAPPED!!!!!
