Nice people, they helped me out with a resume and job applications. Also, I got a job there as well.

For a business that bases itself on selling merchandise, they are morons. Example: There's a price sticker on the item. But sometime there also takes a marker an boldly writes code on it, and the clerk never looks at it. Today's moronic scribbling is a large bold circle or letter "C" across the front side of a stoneware kitchen product. The picture is of the cooking surface side. That marker soaks into the porous stone surface, and if you try to use a product to remove it, it soaks in deeper. Why burn your time on that wasteful task, and use your time better addressing the customer experience, organizing the messy shelves and jumbled clothing, putting the correct clothing size TAGS on the correct item. It's all these little things that matter. And in all fairness, this doesn't apply to the staff up front. It's management and training and awareness. You're customers shouldn't have to just DEAL WITH what you're doing, you should be focusing on your customers needs being fulfilled, and frustrating being listened to. We're paying your wages and bills after all.

I discovered this location while attending an event at the Vet Center a few doors away. Staff are welcoming. Selections are the best.

THE SMELL. They blast the most intense perfume scent it is literally breathtaking in the worst way. I’ve had a headache all day since visiting. If you have allergies, MCAS, smell sensitivity, do not go here. I don’t even think a mask would help. The cashier told me they’ve had several other people comment or complain on it. I understand wanting to mask the old clothes smell but don’t do it by drowning another intense musk scent over it!I gave another star because I found some nice small items and a shirt. It’s mostly clothes at this location and of course, the prices are higher than they have been in previous years. I won’t be returning.

I have shopped here a few times. My biggest complaint is that sizes are never where they should be. Also, as of today 2/2/23, hours on Google are incorrect. I was inside (door wide open) shopping at 8 AM per Google, and was told after twenty minutes of shopping that they weren't open until 9. I followed another person inside. Please lock your door if you're not open.

No fitting rooms, and the return policy doesn’t make finding something that fits easy. If you buy something to take home and try on, you only get store credit. As a woman, finding the right fit can be hard so this is particularly tedious and tiresome. The other thing is they will not discount damaged items (eg missing buttons, holes in clothes, etc.) So they have all of their merchandise for sale given to them for free— but instead of discounting an item, they’ll not sell it.The employees seem miserable, which I can only assume is a leadership problem. As a new store, it is fairly clean, so two stars instead of one. There are better places to donate your used items. My recommendations are Partners in Care on route 40 or Fetch on Rosemont.

Avoid their auctions as all costs. They are un-ethical and do not stand by there descriptions, using AS-IS even though they do not put enough information or detailed photographs in their listings, using a cop out for any discrepancy or mistake.

Sold me a busted item through Shopgoodwill and refused return. Be wary if you buy through them, as they will refuse any returns on defective items. Reporting for fraud through FTC report and disputing charge on my credit card.

I was really driven to leave a review due to my extreme disappointment I’ve faced over the last few months. I have been a loyal customer to these goodwills and dressed myself and my kids and decorated my house and gotten gifts from all the stores. Many days I would drive from Middletown to the two in Frederick to Walkersville and even to Thurmont to get treasures. Suddenly I was told the stores merged with a group in Arizona?! The stores were rearranged and now the merchandis

Terrible corrupt GW They never answer the Ecommerce phone or return messages left. Portal is also ignored Scams with inside shill bidders or accomplices ! Had proof with bid history and mysterious deleted bids then rebid by same individual . ONLY STAFF can delete bids and this occurred within seconds after the item was listed ! Same item got relisted after I called them out on it and was bid up to EXACTLY the same bid the 2nd time by the same person

Extremely disappointed in the new system you guys have going on. I’ve been thrifting goodwills all over since I was a child and never in my life have I seen prices like this. Even when I was living in California. $14+ for a pair of dirty toddler converse? They are literally $20-$25 brand new. $20+ for Adult nikes that are worn down?

Monocacy Valley lists an extraordinary amount of clothing on the shopgoodwill site with no details in the description and 2 slightly blurry distant pictures. I took a chance and lost... very obvious holes in the sweater I purchased. It's a shame because these practices probably discourage a lot of customers while some of the other goodwill sites are really honest and try to give as many details as possible especially in regards to damages.
