Update, this was horrible and we learned a lot. Close all accounts when you have ID theft and go to another bank! M&T started out on wrong foot but Sandra and Alexandra were great and resolved the problem in 2 weeks.My wife's purse was stolen with her ID at 6am. I was at the bank at 9am closing accounts and putting fraud notices on everything, was assured no money would come out of my NEW or old accounts. Crooks used ID to cash 4,600.00 in bad checks in Baltimore and hour away from CLOSED accounts! M&T is telling me they are not at fault and I need to wait 120 days plus for investigation to make sure it wasn't us- when they have video of the person and a teller who can confirm it wasn't us. Take all of your money out of this bank. I've told everyone I know because M&T never even apologized. Bank manager was happy to open accounts for me and my family, but simply stared at her computer screen and wouldn't help me on the day we needed assistance. They simply don't care.

Do NOT bank at M&T! Go to a local bank like Woodsboro. Trying to help my son and his wife, who have banked and advocated for me to bank at M&T. They had 4,600 stolen, it's clear it was stolen from the copies of the checks, and M&T will not update them on the situation or refund the money. If they let him and his business walk out and never even called or said they were sorry, they won't mind when we close our accounts.

Do NOT trust this bank! My purse was stolen with my I.D. and the bank assured me, in person that I had taken every step needed to protect our accounts. We closed and opened new accounts and were getting calls for every charge to the closed account. Went to the bank in person and called the 800 number multiple times and was assured all accounts were locked. 5 days later, a teller stupidly allowed a crook in Baltimore to cash 2 checks for 4,600 from our new accounts! The same accounts that were supposed to be protected! Now bank wants to investigate, can't say when we are getting the money back, and none of them apologized once. We took our money from the bank and they didn't care. Tell everyone you know to pull money or M&T will scam them too!

Very off putting experience, I would never back with this bank specifically this location. I felt discriminated against the old lady in the front was very rude and condescending. This is a location I would never return too I would rather drive 20 mins out or use any other bank

Kudos to Delonn Knowles and co-workers;My wife and I realized that our savings account was compromised, having money withdrawn without our Knowledge. We panicked, didn't know what to do and so we rushed To the bank for help. We were immediately directed to someone who could help us. A teller, forgive me for not remembering her name, recognizing that my wife was distraught, brought her a glass of water and encouraging words. Ms. Knowles quickly went to work applying her training and experience to the grave situation at hand. We quickly Realized we were in great hands. It was remarkable seeing how the co-workers became a team to help us in our time of need. We've banked at this Frederick location for year's, and so we can say without a doubt that “ALL” patrons are treated the same, like Family. We want to recognize the staff but especially Ms. Knowles, for her efforts and the empathy given to us. Their work ethic and team work truly represents the goals of The M&T Bank without any Or Little guidance. Your staff are true inspirations to those of us that cross their path. I stopped in to this branch after dealing with customer service over the phone for the last 10 days and getting nowhere with a unique issue I was having. There were no other customers in the bank at the time and all three ladies stopped what they were doing to come over and help get my problem solved. 30 minutes later, my issue was resolved and I was on my way. In a half hour, these women fixed a problem that I'd been dealing with for 10 days and they thanked ME for being patient! Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and didn't catch their names, but they were awesome and if they happen to see this, Thank YOU!

Went here for loan consultation and the loan officer was very helpful. Unfortunately I did not get the best incentive from M&T.

If you need a Loan Officer, do NOT goto Drew Powers. He will rob you. He will run you for your money and leave your credit trashed. Terrible loan officer. DO NOT GOTO DREW POWERS!

Today is september 20, 2019. I decided to write a review because I was struggling with an issue with a check and I really appreciate a young lady, I believe her name is Tori, and she was phenomenal. She went above and beyond to check with her manager and anyone else that is of a higher status, to see if they can assist me with my situation in reference to my check. I truly appreciate that she contacted me to see if I got it situated, and i did get my check fixed. I'm able to deposit the following coming week and I just wanted to leave a review to say that this is an amazing young lady. She is very understanding and she will work on her hardest to make sure that she can provide you with what you need when being an M&T customer.
