Horrible institution. Fraud on account and the bank agrees, promises to put money back and never does. Another dept sends collection letters and knows nothing about the fraud. Once they accidentally deposited money in my account and I withdrew the money and they called the cops within 30 minutes and demanded the money back the same day- but they don't care when it's not theirs. They are willing to ruin your credit for their mistake and never even apologize. Bank anywhere else but not here

I always receive great service here. The employees greet me by name, are very helpful, and even give my dogs treats when they're with me in the drive thru lanes.

Told me to make an appointment to change my billing address, so I did. After that they said I needed to bring proof of new residence which I did (brought my lease). I get here and now they say I must have my ID to change my billing address which I did not have on my person but would have if they had told me they needed it. Huge time wasters!!

Got inside. Made me wait when they had 2 clerks doing nothing while one was BS'ing on the phone. When I finally got help they treated me like banking with them was Huge inconvenience. I'll be happy once I don't have to deal with them. Changing banks asap.

Wow, just wow. Went in to deposit a check into my parent's bank account today and got fed a huge piece of red tape. Even though I had my photo ID and properly filled out deposit slip, they told me the account holder had to sign the check too. Really???? Ok, because I'm totally trying to rip off myself, with my own check, in person with ID. Especially when the account holder has the same address and last name printed on my ID. They accepted the deposit, but told me what I needed next time. Normally, this wouldn't irritate me so much, except the fact that all the other M&T branches seem to have different rules, and have told me that it's ok to make a deposit into my parent's account as long as I'm doing it in person. So, M&T Branch on Spectrum Drive, get over yourself and stop harassing customers with bogus regulations. I will be by to make another deposit, and I won't have their signature on it. And like a good little bank, you'll be a dear and deposit it without giving me any crap. Thank you, see ya next time.

I went into this bank to cash a check issued to me by a person that had an account with M&T Bank. The bank teller told me I would have to pay a ten dollar surcharge to cash the check because 'I didn't have an account with them.' I was told that they are charging ten dollars because I should have used my bank to complete the transaction. I have filed a complaint with M&T Bank's corporate offices.
