Magical place. The staff is always friendly (young people with manners-refreshing). The wash bays are always clean and available at your preferred time more often than not. Prices for food and supplies could be cheaper. But I'm ok paying for a better customer experience, which I always get.

I am not typically one to write reviews, preferring to consider my own potential misinterpretations. However, my experience at this store today was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share it. As a long-time customer, I have spent a significant amount of money here over the years, purchasing products for my dogs from puppyhood through their senior years.
Today, I entered the store with the intention of buying new treats or food toppers for my admittedly picky dogs. In the past, I've always appreciated the welcoming atmosphere. While I hope this was an isolated incident, my experience was far from positive. I was informed by an employee that the store offers samples of certain brands. With six dogs, I was hoping to acquire at least two samples per dog, depending on the sample size. I confirmed with the employee that taking 8 to 10 samples was acceptable and thanked them accordingly.
As I was browsing ear cleaners for my pitbull with sensitive ears, a gentleman approached me and stated, in a manner that I found condescending, that he would need to take back some of the samples I had selected. I felt singled out and extremely uncomfortable by his tone and apparent haste. I decided to return all the samples and simply purchase the ear cleaner. As I was leaving, the same gentleman was standing by the door, which made me feel as though I was suspected of theft.
I have always felt a sense of connection with the staff at this store, and I am deeply disappointed by this experience. It has made me question whether I will continue to spend my money here. As a healthcare professional, I have recommended this store to many people, but I am now unsure if I can continue to do so.

Well stock for dogs and bird feeding. Staff is always nice and helpful. The rewards program is generous but is confusing to tell what is counted for it.

An absolutely fantastic store with just about everything you could need. The staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the prices are all extremely fair. If you've got pets, and you're the kind of person to want to support local business then this is the only pet store you should need in the Frederick area.

Love this place! I recently decided to go there and I'm glad I did. I noticed it a while back every time I drove up and down rt 15. They've got very high quality food and supplements for my dogs and other animals too. They have a wide variety of healthy foods, including raw. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Definitely a step above the big chain stores and supermarket options. I've done my research and I'm thoroughly convinced that I'm doing what's best for my babies. If you're not sure you can ask the staff, they're very well educated on the different food, supplements and nutritional needs of your pets. They're an additional source of knowledge and that's important. As I said, it's not cheap, but I know I'm giving my dogs the best quality food I can, they're worth it. I know things are tight these days, but I do budget for this and I'll cut back in other areas if I have to. I should eat as well as they do, lol. Anyway, do yourself a favor, do your pets a huge favor and check this place out.

If you are a dog owner this place might be solid. That being said I am a cat owner and they had maybe 1/5 the amount of cat supplies as dog supplies, and what little they had was small brands that isn't WSAVA approved
