Update— they did finally send my records to my new doctor but only after I filed a complaint with upper management/corporate. Council your front office staff on appropriate ways to speak to customers. Speaking disrespectfully to customers who are trying to obtain a service is unacceptable. Do better.Original Review—After poor customer service at my exam last year, I decided to switch providers this year. After they found something suspicious on my retina scan, my new doctor wanted to see my old scans from this office. It took an entire week, lots of back and forth, and getting corporate involved before this office would release my health records to me.I spoke with several different team members, all of whom were unprofessional and in accommodating in my request. It shouldn’t have taken an entire week to get an email with MY records. After a week (and growing impatient), I asked to speak with a manager (who I never did speak to) and staff told me they “couldn’t promise that I would get my records”. Not only is this insanely unprofessional but also illegal.Highly disappointed.

honestly really disappointed. Ive gone to My Eye Dr for my glasses for a while & there was never a real issue until February of this year. I called on FEBRUARY 8th, took a ss of my call log and all, letting them know i broke my glasses and i’d like to get them fixed. I had a free pair under my insurance and she asked if i’d like to use my free pair and i said yes. She let me know they would take about two weeks and that i had to bring my old pair in, no problem. I call two weeks later after ZERO updates on my glasses, to come to find out they never even placed my order. The lady on the phone told me it had barely been a week, and that the order was placed on the 18th…10 days after i called? On top of that, they called me and let me know that the frame i had was discontinued, which is understandable, my frustration comes in at the fact that if they put my order in when i called, i could have came in and picked a new frame a while ago but now here I am March 21st still waiting on them to finish up with the new frame i picked out. Not a text, not a call, nothing with any sort of update and they always say they will call or text with updates but since i called in february the ONLY calls i have from them are the ones i started, or the call when they let me know they discontinued my frame. Don’t know if i’ll continue going there after this. Eyesight is important and for a customer to have to wait almost 2 months because of a company or employee mistake is unfair.

My visit here was amazing! From start to finish the team assisted me and ensured my visit went as smooth as possible. One associate in particular (Anthony) was extremely helpful and kind. He assisted me through each step of my very indecisive process of choosing new frames, and answered any questions I posed! Very happy and will be returning in the future for all of my eye needs thanks to Anthony!

Today I went because my eye is really bad and I had already an appointment for it, but I had a very bad experience with the people working there. They were really rude and were raising their voice to us even though we were just asking questions, it was definitely a waste of my time and our appointment was cancel because there was something wrong with our assurance, but we were able to pay in case it didn’t work. So now I have to go to another doctor and treat my eye. It was definitely so upsetting and uncomfortable. The person that was the rudest one, she is Hispanic and technically was treating like an idiot, definitely not coming back or recommend to others, I would go somewhere else unless you wanna be treated badly.

Bad and scammy. There are plenty of other places to go and I would go to them. Avoid this place at all costs.

Friendly staff, but wait times to get any new prescriptions are 1+ month which is twice as long as they stated.

In December 2021 I got a shard of glass in my eye. So I went to MyEyeDr. (I was an established patient and had been for a few years) to have it removed. They took my vision insurance but not my medical insurance. I was eager to get the literal shard of glass out of my eyeball and was willing to pay out of pocket for that to happen as soon as possible. They refused to quote a price or even give me a rough estimate within $100. I was unwilling to possibly overdraw my account, so I was forced to go to an urgent care center instead, and live with my glass an additional 6 hours while I waited for care. I would argue that that is too long to have glass in one's eye.I know that this might have been a standard practice. And I know doing this is now illegal. And I'm well aware that the flaws in are medical system are many, and complicated. But there are good medical providers out there doing their best to help people.I did not feel that these were those people.

maybe tell your employees (both male which was the sad and ugly part) to not stand there talking about your customers. whoever those two MEN were Saturday Dec 30th around 2:40 standing in that little area next to the more expensive glasses needs some home training. immediately. another customer lost for y’all. maybe look in a mirror and do better because you’re not getting all these complaints for no reason.

Terrible service. Had eye appointment October 11, 2023 and still have not received a prescription that allows me to see clearly (and it’s December 20th). Told progressive lenses would allow me to see distance and close up. They didn’t. Was told Eisen3s would work. They didn’t. Decided to go back to single vision. Have to wait a month to get these? Long time customer of MyEyeDr. but that is over. My one year prescription is going to expire before I even get a pair of glasses that will allow me to see.

Was told by the lady helping me that I could get a rebate on a 6 month supply of contacts. I ordered it and followed the steps for manufacturer rebate only to find out that she misinformed me. Because of this, it caused me to lose eligibility on any rebate causing me to lose $200 that couldn't be recouped.*UPDATE* The general manager and their customer service department was able to get us the year supply so we could qualify for the rebate. Appreciated their follow up and how they handled.

Dr. Umar Mahmood Is a great doctor he took his time with me and really listened to what my needs are. We originally met him at FSK mall and my whole family transferred our care to Wormans Mill office because of him and his staff.

Kelli helped us when we were in today. We have county benefits and get routine eye exams covered. She tried to charge $114 for something that already came with my insurance. Completely changed her demeanor when we told her we were keeping our old frames and rolled eyes when we told her we didn’t want to pay for a warranty we already have. Smelled like cigarettes. People do not choose to have bad eyes but they do choose to treat people badly and be greedy which is exactly what happened today.

This place billed my insurance for contacts benefits. The contacts didn’t work for me. I brought them back, unopened. I decided to get glasses instead. I used an in store promotion for the glasses, but they didn’t reverse my insurance benefit. When I asked them about this, the two people helping couldn’t agree on how things worked. They ended up throwing my glasses receipt at me, but they still haven’t reversed my insurance benefits. I believe that is called insurance fraud. I will be filing a report with the corresponding authorities.

First, I waited about an hour past my appointment time. Then, they try to charge me for retina exams that I 1 didn't consent to, and 2 didn't ask for? And on top of that, I believe Jenny, the front desk secretary, was extremely rude when I tried to get a copy of my prescription. Seems like a money hungry company with miserable employees.
