I recently had a reverse total shpulder replacement, and NovaCare was recommended to me based on their expertise in working with reverse shoulder replacements, and also with patients with Ehlers Danlos, and associated hypermobility. I was specifically referred to Mark Acierno. This place is absolutely terrific, and Mark is by far the best Physical Therapist to ever treat me -- and I've been treated by more than a few over the years. My care there has been thorough, educational (I love that I'm being taught WHY to do an exercise a certain way, and how it applies outside of PT), and while I'm working hard, I'm enjoying it because the people here are all (starting at the front desk) pleasant, efficient, professional, and exceedingly competent. My surgeon at UMD called me his "superstar patient" because I'm recovering so well, and I have absolutely no doubt that it has nearly everything to do with my physical therapy care.

Jo makes a difficult process easy by being knowledgeable, encouraging, and supportive. I am very comfortable with Jo being an important part of my aquatics treatment plan.

I am so fortunate to be revisiting my trusted friend and master sports physical therapist Mark Acierno and his great team at NovaCare Rehabilitation, 84 Thomas Johnson Court. They are the best in Frederick, or anywhere. Mark gave me an awesome game plan to treat a flare up of osteoarthritis in my right knee. He and Faryn Dunn are so upbeat with their positive reinforcement, pushing me to engage accompanying muscles and my core as well as my knee. Thanks to Team Mark I have made great strides in a short time and look forward to reaping those results on the golf course again. Also, many people say Rita’s has the best ice in Frederick. I disagree. Team Mark serves the best ice in Frederick, hands down. No better reward after they motivate you through a rehab session then the awesome, healing ice wrap Mark provides for that final 10-minute cool down.Thank you, Mark, Faryn and Team NovaCare for your awesome expertise, great attentiveness and great sense of humor helping me get better so far. Mark at NovaCare is amazing. I have come to him severe pain in my knee. He has helped me to be able to walk without pain. I can't thank him enough. I would recommend his practice to everyone!!!

Nova care has been a great experience for my situation. The staff has been very knowledgeable very supportive extremely kind. They made it feel very personal. Jodene was my PT and she has become a very special person to me. I will never forget her.

Professional and polite describes everyone at this office. I have been in the movement profession for 40 years. The PT and assistants are very knowledgeable and speak and direct me at my level. I am getting the results I was looking for quickly and noticing other areas that need attention; they’re looking at the whole body which I believe is SO important.Mark puts such positive energy into my PT session - you can tell that he does love his work.
