When I was told that Atlantic Union Bank was purchasing Sandy Spring Bank, I was not happy but I wanted to wait and see what Atlantic Union Bank would provide for me and my existing business account. I carefully read the details of what my new banking relationship would be with this acquisition and I determined that my years of banking with Sandy Spring bank were being flushed down the toilet.
I was being treated as a brand new customer instead of an existing customer with many limitations to what I already did at this bank.
Additionally, when I moved the bulk of my money out of my account via ACH, Sandy Spring Bank called to make sure I wanted to do this move! I assured them I did.
When I went to close my account before the official merger happened, I was instructed to go to the teller to close my account. The teller informed me I was missing out on good stuff. I asked exactly what was I going to miss out on. He answered that they had new paint, new wallpaper and new seating (limiting the seating to 4 bank customers only now). Clearly he didn't see the financial side of things.

I was helped by Cheryl McCaull, & she was wonderful! She even mentioned some banking ideas that really made me feel confident about my banking. I wish they just had designs for cards but five stars!
