The historic Gunter Hotel in Frostburg is a must see place with great central location near downtown Main Street, the State university campus and the Allegheny passage trail. The building has modern beds and toilets, comfortable firm beds and a small museum downstairs. One can wind down and relax in the room, grab the excellent coffee bar in the lobby and the impressive lobby, and use the large communal balconies for breakfast coffess. The bar and restaurant offer great lunch and drinks, attentive service and a nice atmosphere. The nearby brewery, many restaurants and shops on Main Street are walkability. The hotel has historic atmosphere with old west glamor, a speakeasy and a very nice bar, and is definitely worth a visit.

We had a lovely stay at the Gunter Hotel while biking the C&O and GAP trails! The hotel was gorgeous and the staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend staying in this unique hotel!

This hotel was truly unique. It was so interesting to stay in a hotel full of history .The staff was very kind and helped answer our questions about the hotel and the area. Would definitely stay here again. So fascinating to hear the history of the hotel. So beautiful too.
