Please read the reviews. The positive reviews are from previous owners. Not sure how they are allowed to stay in business. Our transmission went out while visiting family. I saw the negative reviews, but we were in a bind. I took a chance and regret it. I brought our SUV to the shop to see if it was possibly something besides the transmission. Quoted me $7,200 for a rebuilt transmission. I told him, no thank. I would ship our Tahoe back home. Keith called me back 15 minutes later and said he would do it for $5,200. That's a big difference, which raises some flags. My local shop in SC did it for $4,600 with a 2 year warranty. And worst of all, Keith damaged our vehicle and refused to pay for repairs. Blamed it on a hit and run. Local body shop didn't understand how the damage was from a hit and run. Looked like he backed into something and then something else fell on our vehicle. Around $1,800 in damages. The odd thing is he did open a claim with his insurance carrier, but told them he didn't know what happened. Now our insurance company is trying to recoup the cost from his. He may have damaged our vehicle intentionally because I didn't want him to work on. His word against mine, though. Trust your gut when reading this. I wish I had. Stay away from this place.

Horrible service do not trust them. STAY Away if you value your time and money. I do not understand why AAMCO is allowing these people to operate under their Brand. Emerald Auto. Charged additional 1000 dollars after I said I didn't want them to do the work. If you value your time and money I don't recommend them. 🗑 shady shady

Besides blasting one of the screws in with enough force to strip the nutserts from the metal it was attached to on the skid plate. I also had to remove the entire skid plate so that I could drill out and remove the bolt so I wouldn't have to remove the entire thing when I change the oil , it was ok.

My company recently had a disappointing experience with Emerald City Automotive. Initially, they provided us with a quote for their services which included waving the diagnostic fee if we agreed to proceed with the work. However, the manager Keith failed to follow through on his price.
This lack of professionalism and disregard for the initial quote left us feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. It is disheartening when a business goes back on its word and fails to honor the agreed-upon terms. The unkind and unprofessional behavior displayed by Keith further compounded our disappointment. I would caution others to be wary of potential discrepancies between their quoted prices and the final charges.

I agree with the last remarks, he was pushing, tried to charge me 800.00 and keep my car for 2 days . When I said I’ll call you back. He called me like I had no other choice but to come there. I went to criswell Nissan and paid 600.00 less for a diagnostic test. And there was no transmission issue.

After the Ford dealership could not accurately diagnose and fix the back hatch of my Ford Explorer, Chris and his team figured it out and fixed it perfectly. Thank you!

I took my vehicle to the Gaithersburg Md. location to get it looked at. The repair wasn't worth getting fixed so the owner offered to buy my vehicle for $500. I had never sold a vehicle so I thought the paper that I signed to turn over the vehicle took it out of my name. Fast forward 6 years later, I received a call from Maryland authorities stating my vehicle was abandoned and impounded and I owed all this money. I had to show them the paperwork that I signed to sell it and I was off the hook. I don't know why they never registered the vehicle in their name and left it in my name but that could've gotten ugly.

The Tech did a great job resetting it to help my truck pass the emission test. I recommend Aamco highly.

I had spent 7,200 for a rebuild of my transmission which is not cheap by any means in April of 2022 and they did a terrible job to which they are not willing to fix the issue.Multiple other shops have told me it is the the transmission and has nothing to do with the 4x4 system flashing and to let ammco deal with it but they haven’t honor their 18 month, 18000 mile warranty. Check engine light was on and it had to do with the transmission and also the 4x4 but the transmission was my main issue because I could still feel the transmission slipping and the odb2 port says slipping transmission.Again 7200 was not cheap. So no good reviews and if I could I would put 0 stars. Never going back there and I had no choice but to sell my lovely truck.I would advise future people not to go back there unless you like wasting money.it’s a rebuilt for 7200 and not a replacement. Like what the heckThat’s on a 2012 tundraWas quoted 5500 and they jumped up to 7200Service: Transmission
