I brought a new to me boxster that I wanted to get current on maintenance and do some proactive repairs on the clutch and ims bearing. Roger and Monica were great. We setup an appointment and they brought the car in for a walk around on the lift to review the mechanical condition and make a repair plan to bring the boxster back to a clean mechanical condition. They know the ins and outs of Porsche. They know when the repair must use genuine Porsche and when aftermarket are good enough or better. It was quite a significant number of repairs given a 20+ year old car with deferred maintenance but the price was fair for the amount of work required. They don’t take short cuts and made sure to address known items of concern before they become headaches (they replaced the coolant reservoir cap because my boxster had the original coolant reservoir cap part which is known to leak making a mess in the trunk at a moments notice). Roger and Monica are the owners and service providers. When you call and have a question they answer the phone. When your car is being repaired and serviced they do the work. Not many of these small businesses around anymore but I am looking forward to bringing my car to them for future service. For Indy Porsche shops, Roger and Monica know their business.

I discovered Autotherapy in the mid 90s when my VW was out of warranty and needed work. I have been a loyal customer since then. Rodger is honest and fair and willing to give different options for repair. For example, one of my VW GTI has a water leak from the AC condenser in the dash. It turned out there was a crack by the drain hose connection. Rodger said he could try to epoxy the crack as opposed to tear my dash apart. His solution worked and saved me a ton of money. They do high quality work and I would recommend them to anyone.

In short, don't go here if you're looking for an organized shop and value your time. You can find the full account of my experience below:I'd gone here for a basic oil change last summer after doing some research on good independent Porsche mechanics in my area. Everything went well at that time and so I planned on coming back this summer for my next oil change/routine maintenance.Fast forward to the beginning of August this year, I call the shop and tell them I'd like to schedule an appointment to come in for an oil change and a general checkup in case anything else needs to be done (I have a low mileage but older car). The shop owner, Roger, says he can fit me in on the 29th. I ask him if there is a specific time I should come, he says "early, between 8-9am".So on the 29th I drive 50 minutes and arrive exactly at 8:30am, to have Roger and his daughter (a mechanic at the shop) be surprised at me walking in through the door. They say they weren't expecting me. I say that's weird because I definitely made an appointment several weeks ago. They start looking around for sticky notes (I learn this is how they keep track of their appointments) and finally the one with my appointment is found. "Must have fallen on the ground" they say.Roger says they need to finish a car and mine will be next on the lift. He starts asking for my information and in the middle I tell him, shouldn't you have my info from last year? He says let me see, and sure enough all my info is there. Why is this shop so disorganized?Anyways, I say okay no problem, I'll go do some work at a coffee shop nearby and come back in a few hours. I walk back over around noon and they haven't even moved my car onto the lift yet. The daughter says she needs to finish another car and then she's taking lunch and then she can get to my car. She won't be done with my car until around 2pm (probably later than that given everything that's happened...).So I respond to this and ask her straight up, what was the point of telling me to come in the morning if I'm just going to be sitting around waiting on you? I could have come later in the day, or another day all together. She responds with excuses about how several cars that were supposed to be done are still at the shop needing more work. Sure, I understand that happens, but if that's the case, give me a call the evening before my appointment and tell me you need to reschedule and that you can't commit to the existing appointment. Oh wait, you didn't even remember my appointment because you use STICKY NOTES to keep track. Don't waste my time, having me drive 50 minutes each way and waiting around for hours. Anyway, after that I just asked for my key back and left. I didn't have time to wait around more and had to take some meetings for work that I couldn't do out of a coffee shop.I can't speak to the quality of their work other than a basic oil change, but if it's anything like how they run their shop, then RUN AWAY.

I discovered Roger in 1984-best mechanic discovery of my life. He has taken care of all my BWWs and Porsches since. No matter how far away I move, shipping it to Roger or having him pick up and deliver is always my best option.Services: Engine repair

I had a suspected coolant leak in my 911, so I took it in to Auto Therapy. They took off several parts to try to get to the leak, and spent well over an hour checking it out. They weren't sure it was leaking, so they told me to drive it and monitor the coolant level. They didn't charge me, even though they could have. Several weeks later it became clear that it was leaking, so I took it back in. They took the rear of the car apart to get to the leak, and sent me photos showing where it was leaking from. When I went to pick the car up they showed me the defective parts. They did an excellent job of repairing the car. They know Porsches inside out and are fair and honest, so i don't hesitate to recommend them to other Porsche owners.

I highly recommend auto therapy. Roger’s knowledge & honesty are second to none. He worked on my old BMW & everything he said & did was right on the money. I wish he serviced Toyotas too. Thank you Roger & Monica.

I wanted to like this place but seems like another shady business. I was quoted a price and then charged a substantially different price when I went to pick up the car. Do not recommend. Suggest you try one of the other local german specialists.

I took my 1996 911 to Auto Therapy and could not be happier. They understood the nuances of an older air cooled Porsche perfectly.Repaired the car perfectly, honestly and on time.

Hi, just wanted to say that Roger and his daughter Monica do quality work and there is no deny on that. I received a call about a previous, malicious review that was not posted by me, but I know who did it and have asked him to take it down. It was all a case of miscommunication.I have no doubt that Roger and Monica are great mechanics and are very knowledgable especially when it comes to Porsches.Service: General repairs & maintenance
