I sold my car, the quote was fear, the facility is comfortable and all the Carmax representatives are efficient professionals and I got a Lift ride home.

1) was told I could have a home delivery up front but when the time came, was told no. You had my address from the beginning, I should have never been told I could have a home delivery.
2) i question the inspection process. We had to replace the battery one month after purchase. Battery check should be part of the inspection process.

Everything was excellent until I did not get the most recent title. Oh, and the tires pm the car will need to be replaced very soon. There was barely enough rubber to pass inspection.

Purchased a car. Test drove it with the check engine light on …completely my fault for letting my daughter walk off the Carmax property with this car. They said they fixed it four days later it’s back on ..not happy.

I have now sold 3 cars to carmax. They make it super easy and the price offered is always fair (I always compare to KBB range before getting the offer).

Carmax Gaithersburg, MD removed the sensor off the car instead of fixing it after a 4th time bringing the car back for the same issue the first 3 weeks I had the car.
Justin the sales manager and Jeff the service manager both lied and told me they were fixing the car and replacing the sensor but instead they removed it since they could not fix the problem.
The issue started the first day I bought the car and I am at a complete loss for how poorly they have handled this.
I have requested a replacement vehicle and was not provided that and now I am requesting a refund.
Both managers told me repeatedly they would “do the right thing” but clearly they have only done wrong dishonest things.
Please save yourself the time headache and money and do business elsewhere!

Waited 2 HOURS (I had an appointment!) and would have needed to wait even longer if i didn't complain. Again, I even had an appointment but I guess that didn't matter. Literally see staff on their phones doing nothing. Waiting room area was empty as well. Horrible experience overall.

Cristian was most helpful in directing us to cars to look at and negotiating the contract. However, there are still issues and he has dropped the ball. There was no manual and he told me to order one and you would reimburse me. I did and he has not told me where to send the bill. There was no bracket for the front license plate and he supposedly ordered one, but no one has told me if it's in, despite several texts. I told Cristian that the horn wasn't working and we couldn't link the car to my garage opener. He said the service department would be in touch and I am still waiting. I am not happy.

Had a great experience with Abib at CarMax. He was funny, easygoing, and made the process simple and stress-free. No pressure, no hassle—just a smooth experience from start to finish. My boyfriend and I had Ubered to the dealership, so we didn’t have a way to get to the bank for a cashier’s check. Abib went above and beyond by letting us drive our soon-to-be car to the bank! Definitely recommend working with him if you want a straightforward car-buying experience.

I have been using CarMax since late 90s. Same quality service all the time. Good value estimate online, Easy to make appointment, quick appraisal, efficient and transparent process. Good value.

Terrible. 1st attempt - said I couldn’t make an appointment, waited 40 minutes and left. 2nd attempt - told I COULD make an appointment, waited 30 minutes then left and made an appointment for next day. 3rd attempt - came in for appointment and their entire system is down, didn’t send an email about the issue, couldn’t help, and I left. 4th attempt - made another appointment waited OVER AN HOUR until seen. Go anywhere else.

Abibe in gaithersurg, Md location is the best. He helped me to get the car that I want. He was very polite and worked with me all the way. He answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns.
