I bought quilt backing that was cut really wonky. I lost about 14 inches (7 from each end) once I squared the fabric at home.
I now have over 2 yards of fabric too short for my full skirt project đ.
The worst part is I dyed it for the prewash, so technically I can't return it either...

Only 1 employee (the only employee of color) seemed interested in helping me. The others straight up ignored me when I politely asked for help. Might have been a one off, might have not. Either way, the customers who donât look like me got a much warmer welcome than I did. The yarn is cheap tho.

Gaithersburg store needs to close. Poorly stocked. High staff turnover.

Gaithersburg store never answers the phone, Rings dozens of times and then appears that the listed number is for a fax machine.

Poor customer service! I went to the store this evening to simply look at a few fabric pieces that I was considering buying online. Though the store closed at 8pm, a very rude employee by the name Cashlee essentially ran me out of the store by repeatedly telling me âsir we are closedâ. This was at 7:50pm. I explained to her that I would leave before 8pm (actual closing time), and yet she continued to force me out in a nasty manner. I wonât be returning.

Only 3 people working in the entire store on Labor Day for a big sale!

If you need fabric cut, grab a number when you come in to do your shopping, itâll be a 30-45 minute wait. The whole store is in disarray, shelves empty and product everywhere.
Three stars because I found everything I needed and it was a reasonable price. Great fabric selection.
Just a poor overall shopping experience due to the mess and the wait. Seems like corporate doesnât care or the store is just understaffed. The employees were all polite and friendly.

This has to be the worst Joannâs on the planet!!đĄ
They never have any stock for material and/or yarn.
I have to drive miles out of my way for a decent Joannâs store!
They should close it down or get a NEW MANAGER WITH SKILLS!!!

Would not recommend this location if you have any plans later in the day.
Waited in line to get fabric cut for over 25 minutes while the worker cutting the fabric held a private conversation with a customer. She could not talk and cut fabric at the same time, and made no effort to wrap up her conversation despite seeing the line of customers. I eventually put my items back and went elsewhere.

While it is very helpful that this store has a ticket system for those waiting for fabric to be measured and cut, it is unfortunate that the employees don't feel the need to adhere to it. When your number comes up, you may need to wait for others to be allowed to cut in before you. Good to know in advance.

Employees were rude, Iâd rather give a friendlier Joanneâs fabric my finances.

Smaller shopping center. Went down one aisle and it actually looked like there was vomit on the floor. The customer service could have been better. The guy just seemed like he was ready to get off work as soon as possible. Maybe he was having a bad day.
