I just went to return an item not actually purchase anything. So it was incredibly easy walked in returned item and walked out within 3 minutes. Definitely can't complain very easy.

Store was clean. Cust reps courteous, knowledgeable & swift in taking my returns & dealing with purchases.2 stars for dirty carts & the “OUT OF ORDER” ELEVATOR, 80% of the times esp in this season. Past decade it’s been “repaired” and then it works for sometime. Needs to be changed. Escalator isn’t convenient when one has bulky heavy items to return or purchase to carry in hand. Most annoying. Gaithersburg branch needs a NEW elevator.

I had been to Gaithersburg location, the lady customer associate Gaylene is a friendly person. I loved overall experience at kohls.

My primary reason is because I & my 3 years old child was humiliated by 1 of the associates at the store. My child was accused of stealing/opening an " Almond Joy" candy that had been lying on the shelf already opened by an unknown customer. The associate immediately assumed, accused & questioned my innocent child whom don't/didn't know any better without my consent, & my child answered yes that she opened the candy based on how she questioned her. However, the other half of the candy that's edible wasn't in the store, but the toy part that's not edible was still there in the store. I informed the associate that we had just walked up to the register, not quite 2 minutes when my child stepped away to look at the different candies, and the associate stepped up to her accusing her of stealing the candy. One of the store managers came up to us and apologized on her behalf; I said, no worries, but this is extremely sad, terribly, and humiliating to accuse someone of something that they didn't do.

Visited the Gaithersburg Md location to make an Amazon return. No issues with that service. Before I left the store I made a small purchase of 2 items. As I walked by the Hallmark ornaments display I noticed that one of display items had the platic tie diwn broken that the store uses to deter theft. I decided to take the item to the front cashier since I didn't want someone to shoplift it. I get in line and wait about 15 minutes. Then get called over to register 9. As I greet the cashier first since she was too busy texting on her cellphone. I then show her the display item and mention someone might shoplift it if not secured. She just looked at me dismissively and just placed the item to the side. Then she asked if I had a store credit card or wanted to apply. I kindly said no. I entered my rewards number and mentioned to her i used the store app on my phone to price check one of my items and see it's lower price vs what she's ringing it up. She again looked at me very dismissively and said that if i didn't like the price to buy it online. I explained I was already at store and the system wouldn't allow me. I asked her if she could honor the price check I showed her. She looked at me and very unhappy declined. I just paid and got out the store as I felt she really didn't want to be at work today. Now I know why the person ahead of me had let me go infront of her as she said "i don't want her to help me." I've been to this store before but today's service was bad. I saved the app price screen shot but I doubt store mgmt will even check reviews or surveys. I was so disappointed and to be somewhere else and didn't bother to escalate to a mgr at the moment.
