Repeatly we have had a horrible checkout experience. I'm not sure why the cashiers and managers are so openly rude. They want you to do self checkout and are annoyed if you don't. If you do self checkout, they don't provide bags. If you ask for bags they rudely remind you to scan the bag codes to pay for the bags. This time, the woman, I'm assuming the manager, tried to take our bags and give them to an another customer. When we said, no we got them for ourselves, we may still need them--the manager aggressively approached our register and manually added the cost of all the bags. We told her we don't know yet how many we will need, she didn't care and charged us anything anyway. When an item needed a correction bc of we scanned it twice, we asked for help. The other cashier said, "she's so rude" loudly to the other customers. We were just trying to get out of there. I didn't even scan my coupons. If this is was the kind of experience that only happened once, I wouldn't leave a bad review. Either this is a problem at the corporate level with your customer service training, or this is a problem at the Kentlands management specifically. Either way you really need to address it.

I have been stopping at way too many of these stores recently, I need to stop. I don't usually go into one unless it is for an item that I know I won't be able to find elsewhere. Or if I know it is an item that would be easier to locate in a store like this.With Christmas coming up I had a few items on nieces wish lists that I knew I would be able to find here fairly quickly. It wouldn't hurt to do a quick once over of the picture frames either, they sometimes have a pretty decent sale on frames.I did a quick search for the gift items and made a quick trip back to framing section. Without much difficulty I was able to find a picture frame in the size I wanted, but not necessarily need. Yes, I did buy it.Made my way up front and paid, was out of there fairly quickly.

I don't usually update reviews, until they are a year old, but I just couldn't let this story go. I have pined away for the Haunted House by Lemax for a long time. They were out of stock at two other Michael's stores. I had a hard time trying to rationalize the price. This week, they went on sale! I went into this Michael's rationalizing, if they have the haunted house, it is meant to be. And, if they don't, then, I just wasn't supposed to get it! Well, I walked in and they had One Left. So, I did what any good customer would do- I bought it! This is the best stocked Michael's I have ever seen. Even though, it is all self checkout, there was a nice lady there to help. Somehow, a new Fall sign, some cute critters, a Halloween ghost, and my most prized Lemax Haunted House all joined me for the ride home. Thanks Michael's, we are going to be all jazzed up for Fall and Halloween.

Crafts and crafts and more crafts and all the stuff one needs to do crafts... as well as gifts and other stuffs. Some prices hefty and some prices reasonable. Find a coupon. Some aisles are neat and some are cluttered.

Every time I visit Michael's I think "never again" and then relent because I want to support local business and maybe the labor/stocking/service issues are COVID related and maybe I got them at a bad time. I'm sort of done done this go around. The staff don't know the stock (of note in a craft/ art supply shop); the stock is shelved in disarray; bright young staff are indeed available, however, to direct you to self check out (no paper or boxes available for fragile items) and "keep the line moving!" but not actually man one of the empty registers. In fact they betray dismay or confusion if you want to pay cash. A common answer is "you can shop on line and pick it up here". And they wonder why brick & mortar stores are closing. Bottom line : an unpleasant and unproductive shopping experience. There are thing out of this store's control but pleasant customer service is merely a function of courtesy and caring. There's a Joann's just up the road...

This Michael's is all about efficiency. Lots of self check outs, super easy pick up for online orders. The place is clean and the staff is helpful.Update... came home and my order was completely wrong. That's annoying.

This is the worst store ever: The workers are nasty and rude. I bought several frames for a funeral, I got one home and it was cracked in the back so I had not noticed at the store. I had the receipt and tried to take it back. They refused. The clear packaging was holding the frame together. Nasty elderly staff.

Clean, well organized, well stocked store. Fast checkout and friendly service. Self checkout option. Plenty of parking.
