AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. The business owner Rakhee Dhawan is dishonest, rude, unethical, unqualified to manage a car repair shop. She took advantage of a senile old man and swindled money for NOT REPAIRING ANYTHING. In fact, she left the vehicle in WORSE CONDITION than when it was brought in. Our car wouldn't start in the past cold winter. Rakhee diagnosed that it was a faulty fuel pump. But the car was less than 6 years old and very low mileage and well maintained. She claimed to had secured an aftermarket fuel pump and then had to return it because she ordered the wrong one. When I asked her to provide the proof of that, she refused. It was my mother's car but she wouldn't communicate with her at all. She knew she could take advantage of my father and kept convincing him to authorize BS work. Like ordering a new fuel pump and dropping the fuel tank to drain the fuel. Again, the issue is the car wouldn't start! Rakhee doesn't know a thing about cars. She literally said that a typical car battery lasts 2 years! LOL maybe the ones that she sells. A good battery should last 4-7 years. When I asked for the diagnostic codes, she couldn't provide them. The night before we were going to pick the car, I went by to see the condition of the car. Rakhee has claimed that we couldn't pick it up that day because the fuel tank was not attached to the car. But lo and behold that night the car was sitting outside the shop. I looked underneath the car and the tank was attached. Now who is lying through their teeth? When I asked her what is was doing sitting outside, she said she pushed it outside to not block her service lane. With that logic, she would have to push it back into the garage to reattach the fuel tank the very next morning. Who in their right mind would do that?! In the end my old man paid her $500+ to do absolutely nothing except drain the car of all of its fuel. Hence in worst condition than it was brought in. My father is the type to avoid conflict and he is at an age that couldn't make rational decisions. Unfortunately I couldn't prevent him from paying. She charged us for draining the car of fuel and supposedly ordering the wrong pump. Now who's fault is that and why on earth would that passed to the customer?! We ended up towing the car to a mechanic I trusted. And guess what the real issue was? It just needed a jump start and a reset of the ECM. Conclusion: avoid this place like the plague. If she keeps doing business like this, it won't last. Companies know the name "Rakhee Dhawan." One to NEVER hire.

Ms. Rakhee and staff are very knowledgeable and provided reliable and quick car service, maintenance and repairs. We will be bringing all our cars to Darnestown Shell for a long time. I would highly recommend using Darnestown Shell for any and all car repairs. I have been taking my cars to this location for over 15 years and they are always professional, do outstanding work at a fair price and are very accommodating. A special shout out to the station manager, Rocky, who is great at her job and a pleasure to work with!

Darnestown Shell is one stop for all the solutions. Their service professionalism is outstanding.Their Manager Miss Rakhee is highly intelligent and a wonder professional women. They not only gives you good service with the genuine parts and great service, they also make you speechless. Their rates are very genuine and competitive. I will highly recommend everyone around to go there for all the automobile issues. I wish them all the luck and success for the coming future.

Don't use this shop. repair item is just $2.99 and total charge including tax $20. If you need sign after getting repair warning from police like bulb change. You have to pay another $25. Please be careful before using this shop.It's really rip off.

I was so happy with the professionalism with the manager at this station. I originally had asked for change of break pads and she called me back and told me that I don’t need that and just needed slight maintenance on it. She could have charged me but she did the right thing by being honest. I later went back for oil change and new tires. I would recommend this service station for any service needs a ?!

This is the 1st review I have ever posted about anything, but I am so beyond happy and grateful to the owner and mechanics at Darnestown Shell that I am doing one! I have been coming here for many years. When new ownership took over several years ago I was concerned my service wouldn't be as excellent. It is even better!! I have never felt as though I was being mislead, overcharged, or pressured to do unnecessary services. The owner is awesome and always gives me options and explains what needs to be done so I can actually understand. Never, ever had even a slightly negative experience. These are good, honest people.

I had not been here before for anything but gas. Today I got a flat around Germantown Road and made it to them around noon. By 2:30 I had a new tire on my car. For part of them time I was at work, but when I returned to the station Rakhee kept me updated on every scenario so I wouldn't be surprised if I needed a new wheel or tire sensor. Fortunately, I just needed the new tire. They are wonderful. I'm thankful a bad experience brought me to finding a terrific place to bring my car moving forward.

This place has been very honest in the care they provide. I’ve never felt uncomfortable with there suggestions on what my car repair needs are. They don’t do anything extra unless they contact you. I never felt as if they would do any unnecessary repairs.

Clean pumps and decent squeegees! There diesel is always well priced and thy have special days that save money. The mechanics seem honest too!
