“This store is very nicely organized and I enjoy the selection. It would be 5 stars if not for the incredibly disappointing customer service. We were there 10 minutes before closing, with items in hand at the toy section, when they turned out the lights and then had an elderly lady come tell us to leave. She was standing right next to us and was very rude. I would have spent more money for sure. I’ve been in many times and I’ve never been treated so unkindly. It left a bad taste in my mouth.”

“This is my favorite go to Thrift Store, since it is close to my home. It can get very busy at times, but I always find unique & needed things for myself, my home & others the times I hv gone there. They offer an additional discounts on certain days too, which is a bonus & if sign up , you will receive coupons to use that vary in amounts. I like that, as well as it allows me to buy more. Generally the prices for me are fair, bc I know my budget & stick to it. Everything I choose I check out thoroughly before heading to the checkout, because something's can not always be 100% without a flaw or too. The store has its busy times, especially on further discount days, & they have more self serve registers open than a cashier to check you out. They might have (2) cashiers for that, but they are usually fast at checking you out. I have never had any issues with the staff or Mgt. This store definatly has a variety of anything you can think of for yourself, your home & beyond. You must be patient when shopping here, or you might miss something special. I always enjoy going to Unique, as it is my shopping therapy. It is one stop shopping for me. The store is farely big & areas are designated for the things they carry, so pretty easy to navigate & see all in each area. Basically I have never gone here & not come out with goodies I couldn't live without. So if you are a Thrifter, & have not been here, check it out. The store for the most part can be organized, but the shoppers mess it up, the staff do their best to keep the merchandise areas orderly, & put out the merchandise in whatever area they are assigned too, but it has been times I noticed things out of order & waiting to be collected, carts are usually there if you get there early, but it has been times I had to wait on a cart too. All in all, you must be patient to have the Best shopping experience in my opinion. Happy Thrifting everyone! My favorite things to buy are unusual household items, small household items, nic nacs, vintage clothing, & anything unusual that you don't see everyday. It really just depends. I don't always go with something in mind. If I see something I like, I add in my cart, then when I hv finished, I decide what I will buy & put the other items back for someone else to enjoy. They do try & keep the store clean, but the customers make that hard & the furniture area is always a mess at times too. All in all I will continue to shop there, to find my can't live without goodies.”

“The whole store is clean and very nicely color organized. I wasn't able to quite figure out if the clothes were organized by size in any way, but it wasn't too much of a problem as I could just check the size on the tag. Additionally there were changing rooms readily available that were clean, private, and had places to hang items, a mirror, and a chair.

There also seemed to be a good selection of items (clothes, furniture, dishes, shoes, and other things) at reasonable prices. I saw alot of clothing items priced around $6 or $7, but it varied from between $2 and $20 depending on the item.”

“Mid sized thrift store— clothing items are tagged with different colours for sizing and sorted by size. The little plastic tag barbs have different colours, which may or may not be associated with discounts. Each type of clothing is supposed to be one price- dresses are all $11.99, sleeveless tops $4.99. Fitting rooms are available but close 1-1.5 hours before the store closes. There is a kind of chaotic energy to this store (see books pic), along with some organizational quirks— eg the end caps on the housewares aisles were curated by colour.”

“Amazing thrift store. I can’t believe I’ve lived in the DMV for over 20 years and just discovered it. Many of the reviews say the staff there is rude, but that was not my experience. Then again I am not a POC. I’m a 60 year old Whyte woman . Some stuff is pricey e.g. I saw a Corningware dish with lid for $40, but altogether lots of items are cheap enough.”

“Adorable cozy little cottage nestled up in-between a row of antique stores. This shop is a great go-to for vintage tea sets, saucers, glassware, textiles, pottery, and even artwork. They also have a room dedicated to books and another to fashion items. All purchases go towards charity! Kensington has a street dedicated to antique retailers, consignors and upcyclists which goes by "Kensington Antique Row." More information can be viewed at: kensingtonantiquerow.com.”
