Second move with Town and Country. Best and most professional movers in our experience. Edwin and his entire crew were fabulous and took meticulous care with every piece of furniture. They did not complain one bit when my wife rearranged the rugs 12 times!

Great movers. They were efficient but thorough and careful. Nothing got damaged moving from one house into their storage warehouse (where things sat for a month while we were renovating), and then moving into the new house. They didn't damage the walls in either place, even with a lot of stairs and heavy items and narrow hallways. They moved us out of DC and into Old Town Alexandria, both crowded places, but it was smooth. The client services team is really nice and responsive too. Only slight complaint is they were eager to wrap up by the end, so I had to scramble to make sure they'd collected everything when we were moving out, and to make sure everything was in the right room when we moved in, before they left. Overall excellent work. Their employees have worked there a long time too, I was told, which helps, salaried not temps. I think T&C is probably more expensive than others, but worth it.

When my husband and I began planning our move from Maryland to Oregon, it seemed like such a daunting task. Town and Country Movers was recommended to us by both neighbors and our realtor. Right from the start, Town and Country put our minds at ease. Every step of the way, they were professional and responsive. The weeks leading up to our move across the country from the home we lived in for over 40 years were insanely stressful and exhausting. But moving day could not have gone more smoothly. The movers were punctual, respectful, and incredibly hard working--and all really friendly. We were so impressed by the careful handling and loading of our furniture-- on both ends of the move. But also by the patience and kindness that was shown to us.Town and Country exceeded our expectations and we would definitely recommend them to anyone planning a move!

Every time I see one of their trucks driving around, I remember I need to leave a review. So here it is: Have used Town & Country Movers twice for in-town moves around the DC metro area. They are amazing -- punctual, fast, hard-working, take good care of your belongings, friendly, professional, AND a good value. 100% would recommend.

DO NOT USE TOWN AND COUNTRY MOVERS to store your belongings in their storage facility. They stored all my household items in their facility and destroyed everything with mold infestation. They charged us $70,000.00 to $100,000.00, to movie our household items from Rockville to Gaithersburg, Maryland, for storage.Town and Country movers has a very deceptive and misleading contract, they only show the front page of the contract, where the customer signature is located, but the real contract is hidden on the back side of the same page and they do not let you see that. The terms of the contract only protects Town and Country Movers. When we called and complained, they told us to call a Junk Collection company to discard the mold infested contents. They would not allow me to talk to the owner. This was so stressful I ended up getting very sick!If you value your health and property, then DO NOT USE TOWN AND COUNTRY!

We had a fantastic experience using Town & Country movers when we moved cross country. The team that packed the house was incredibly careful (no scratches or dings on any of the walls!)j and efficient, wrapping all of our furniture and loading it without a hitch. The crew that unloaded it (Christian and Luis) were also 5 star-- nothing broke, they put together all furniture, and worked hard until the job was done. Definitely a 5 star experience.

I have made more than five local moves within Fairfax County, so I have enough experience to say that Town and Country Movers is far above average. In addition to helping me plan a very complicated move, their movers were efficient, fast, careful and extremely pleasant to work with.

From start to finish my experience with this moving company was excellent service. The driver and also person in charge, Manuel Kenworth was well mannered, understanding of the customers needs and so professional in handling the move, mr. Manuel made us feel comfortable and confident with his incredible disposition and mannerism, it was most enjoyable and less stressful having him and his crew guide and help to make it a smooth transition. So very please with the company and the decision of personnel chosen. I highly recommend using these movers for a professional and great service move. Our move took place from Virginia to Florida in July 2023.

Town and Country is an excellent moving company for a long distance move from Washington, DC to Hilton Head, SC. The entire process of receiving a quote, scheduling pick up and delivery, and payment was easy and hassle free. Under the supervision of Juan, the 4-member crew wrapped up the furniture and took extra care in loading the truck. I found them to be personable and professional. My delivery to the final destination was even a few days earlier than expected. A special thanks to Juan and Franklin for doing a terrific job of unloading the truck even during late morning rain. I commend them for making sure that my furniture and boxes were put in my apartment in perfect condition. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who moves long distance.

My husband and I moved from a townhouse on Capitol Hill to Alexandria, Virginia, and had T&C pack and move us. The packing crew, Nelson and two lovely young women, were super efficient and pleasant. The following day, Fernando and his crew loaded the truck and moved us. They were also super efficient and helpful. Everything is unpacked, and nothing was broken. We could see that the packers really knew their job. For the move in, the team put everything where we asked them to. In the end, the cost was less than the estimate. I highly recommend using this company.

Town and Country Movers were a lifesaver during my urgent move! They were incredibly quick and responsive from the start. The movers were not only efficient but also kind and helpful. Communication throughout the process was excellent. Highly recommend for a stress-free move!

TLDR: Do NOT use this company unless you're okay with paying a whole lot of money for 1 mover, his wife, and his young child to move your belongings (is this even legal?).I used Town & Country for a long-distance move recently. I was happy with the move-out process, but upon the truck's arrival at my new apartment, I discovered that this company had sent only one of their movers to unload my things, and he had brought his family (??), including a young child, to assist him. This made me extraordinarily uncomfortable, particularly the child labor aspect, but I waited until all my belongings were unloaded to bring this issue to the company. I called them and requested a discount, as this is not at all what I signed up for when I hired a supposedly reputable moving company. The individual I spoke with was only concerned with the fact that the mover hadn't collected the money from me prior to unloading, and I then had to sit and listen as he disciplined the mover over the phone in front of me. I found this all extremely inappropriate. When I spoke to him again, no responsibility was taken for what had occurred, and this person said that they would not reduce the price I was paying because the cost was calculated based on weight of items moved. This was frankly a ridiculous excuse, because with that logic, was I supposed to unload the truck myself? Customers are paying for full moving services. I reached out to the owner a couple days later, who was previously very helpful and responsive, and have had absolutely no response. This company clearly only cares about their bottom line and takes no responsibility for who they contract their work out to. Their only move is to blame the lower-level employee and then disappear. I sincerely regret not just using a broker, because the service would have been the same for several thousand dollars less. I should note as well that during the unpacking process I found a sneaker print on my light-colored couch and significant damage to two pieces of furniture, which I ended up replacing completely. I am so disappointed with the service I received from this company, and I would strongly recommend going in a different direction unless you are okay with having your trust and financial agreement violated with absolutely no follow-up.

Town & Country is the best moving company I have ever used (and we have moved a lot!). They had very competitive rates, and the estimating and scheduling process was easy (thank you, Blair). Most importantly, the moving crew was exceptional. They were hardworking, efficient, pleasant, and careful with our property. I highly recommend the crew with Roberto, Jaime, William, and Oscar - thank you, you made two stressful days much easier.
