Our dog Bella has 2 tumors on each of her adrenal glands. One is the size of a baseball and the other the size of a golf ball. We decided to pursue radiation treatment with Dr. Ben. I can't say enough about how wonderfully Bella was treated and how wonderfully we were treated by Dr. Ben and his staff. They are so acccommodating and nice! They go above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable with everything they were doing for Bella. She had 5 treatments and came through beautifully each time. We highly recommend Dr. Benot Clerc-Renaud - he is absolutely the best ever!

I can’t thank Veterinary Referral Associates enough. Everyone from the techs, specialists such as Dr. Crumley, the receptionists, and the scheduler (Ashley) are absolutely AMAZING! They treat your pets as their own with plenty of love and care. A huge thanks to Veterinary Referral Associates for being so understanding and accommodating during my furry pal’s emergency. Being that there are very few ophthalmologists for dogs in Virginia, I had to call VRA for an emergency appointment as the other offices I called were either closed or would not see my dog until 2 weeks later. I called VRA and let them know my dog’s eye was cloudy and that he was squinting. They took me in that same day, diagnosed my dog with a severe bacterial infection in his eye, and immediately started treating it. Thanks to the staff and Dr. Crumley for seeing my pet the same day I called, and for that my dog still has his eye! I can’t thank them enough!Everyone staff members are very helpful, professional, positive, and courteous. Wait time is very minimal and prices are reasonable. Do not hesitate to bring your pet to VRA. Your pet will be in good hands with VRA :)

If you have an emergency GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Our dog was near death, vomiting blood and we called ahead to ensure we could get seen. The person who answered the phone said "yes, we are 24x7". We show up just after midnight, fill the intake forms and sit for an excruciating hour. A nurse finally comes out and says that it'll be a six hour wait before a vet can see her--thats 7am, when they actually open... While this place will let you into the waiting room 24x7, THEY DO NOT PROVIDE 24X7 VET SERVICE. In an emergency situation the clock is ticking and the evil trickery that this place is doing to get your business can be the difference between life and death for your dog. The Vets leading this place should be ashamed of themselves for this slimy false practice. I've been in jobs where I get called in for an IT server going down. Yet these folks whose job it is to save pets lives can't be bothered to schedule their shifts around what they've supposedly dedicated their lives to doing. It's not a matter of "do yourself a favor and go somewhere else", it's: do not risk your pets life by getting duped by this place.

Run for the hills. They use the emotional situation of having a dying pet against you.Was told they won't even treat my pet without FULL upfront payment of $15,000....which included a surgery he did not even need. They will trump up random charges to make sure they get their money, in the meantime:1. Did not feed our dog the requested food we dropped off for him2. Said he was in an "emergency" state, but wouldn't treat w out money. In addition, they said he wouldn't even be able to be seen until after hours, which contradicts the "emergency status"3. If we had paid the full $15k up front, after it was determined he didn't need surgery, they were trying to keep him longer to "treat" him, so they could make up the difference and not have to issue a refund, by making up random charges. Please, if you have even an iota of love and respect for your pet, stay far away from here

From the minute I called, to the time I left, Tracey and Samantha were great! Now the supervisor that was in the front didn’t even acknowledge when we walked in, if you’re working in the Vet ER everyone that comes there is coming for a concern from there love one, especially if you’re putting you’re pet down, which was issue today, acknowledge everyone who comes in if not get another job, this looks bad for the hospital. Thank you the Diaz family.

I cannot say enough great things about this hospital. The staff is amazing and very responsive and accommodating. From the front desk to all the doctors and surgeons - they are top notch! It's great to know that there is an emergency hospital for our beloved pets to go to where they care for the animals better than any human hospital. In fact, any one of the area human hospitals could learn a lot from VRA!

Dr. Ganjei is the most skilled, knowledgeable and expert surgeon I have ever come to know. Couple that with his compassion and confidence and its evident, he knows exactly what he's doing. Dr. Ganjei took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, addressing all my concerns and ensuring I felt comfortable every step of the way. His deep knowledge and experience in canine surgery were evident, providing me with unwavering confidence in his abilities.During and after surgery, Dr. Ganjei and Isabel provided thorough instructions for Oscar's care and recovery, ensuring I had all the support I needed to help Oscar heal comfortably at home. Isabel was very compassionate and went above and beyond to explain post-op care. His dedication to his patients extended beyond the operating room, demonstrating genuine care and concern for Oscar's long-term well-being.Thanks to Dr. Ganjei's exceptional care and surgical mastery, Oscar is now thriving and back to his happy, energetic self. We are forever grateful for Dr. Ganjei's expertise, professionalism, and compassion, and we wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking top-notch surgical care for their baby. Dr. Ganjei truly embodies the gold standard in veterinary surgery! Thank you!!!

Highly professional and compassionate. They are well worth the cost if any involved medical care may be necessary for pets. They took care of our furry family members.

Veterinary Referral Associates is a superb specialty and emergency care hospital. The service is outstanding and I am thankful that I can get emergency care for my dog when she needs it. We also get a call the next day to see how our dog is doing.

Recently took our 3 year old lab to VRA for saliva gland removal surgery earlier this month. We received a referral specifically for Dr. Ganjei and we're so happy with how well he took care of our pup and the results of the surgery. The staff was also very helpful and informative on the entire process from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Dr. Ganjei performed stenotic nares surgery on my exotic longhair persian. He is amazing and now she can breathe so much better. He is a gifted surgeon and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else for my cats care. Everyone was so very helpful and really care about the work that they do. Top notch! I traveled from Leesburg Virginia because I love Dr. Ganjei he is THE BEST! Hugs to you all!

First of all, I want to say that if you have an attitude you shouldn’t be working at customer service, nonetheless with animals who only deserve love and care. First and last time coming here, I literally came because I had some questions and needed some help because I want to travel with my dog, I was very nice when coming in and politely asked one of the receptionist my questions (black girl sitting in the middle of everyone) and asked her if they did permits for travel and then not even a second later the girl right next to her ( white and overweight) answers the question as if we were talking to her with a (NO, no we do not) with the biggest attitude I’ve ever seen in someone working with animals, and also with her eyes on the computer not even looking at us. I had a bad experience last time I was here and didn’t wanna come back but it was the closest place to go to, but after this, I’m sure that I’m Never coming back here ever again even if they’re the last resource there is. This place lacks humility, friendliness and people who want to help.

I called because my cat was not doing well, the people on the phone were rude and dismissive, and told me that it was a 6 hour wait, which is ludicrous for what it is supposed to be an emergency hospital. I took her to Achieve, she was seen, with labs and medication in under 2 hrs. I really hope you can better.
