First time here. The guy doing our taxes decided it was time to eat his lunch while doing our taxes. Then proceeded to ask if Maryland had property taxes…. Like aren’t you the professional? Once we got our claim filed, we thought it was off and something was done in error. We decided to get a second opinion and turns out the guy didn’t include the interest that we paid on our house, since we just bought it, even though we gave him documentation. So now we have to have it corrected. Definitely won’t go back.

Jon has done my taxes for the last few years and I've had no problems. He is professional, caring, and really explains things thoroughly. Recently I needed to file an amendment and he was not available. Jon as unavailable but he worked with another Agent to get the job done, and MJ at Block Advisors was quick to reply, track down the documents, and set me with with someone knew. Thanks Block Advisors of Crofton. I'm glad I chose H&R Block for my tax needs. Shout out to John, MJ, and the new Agent for really coming through for me. Block Advisors is lucky to have you all!

Terrible service. They didn't have our appointment even though we confirmed multiple times and had the confirmation email. Then, the front desk person didn't apologize or anything. They just said they didn't have it and we would have to come back another day or go somewhere else. Completely disregarded their mistake and wasn't helpful at all.

We paid a steep fee of over $600 for last year's tax preparation at H&R Block Crofton. We were told that one big benefit would be their year-round availability to discuss tax issues/questions.They made two mistakes while preparing our taxes -- which can happen to anyone, but it was just one more thing... Also, Jon kept insisting that one could not have a TSP and IRA at the same time, which is a basic mistake.Neither Jon nor his supervisor were EVER available to discuss our tax questions, we never received a response to our calls or emails -- we sent the emails through the system we communicated before, so they can't say they never received our messages. We tried to reach them through spring and summer -- but they were unresponsive.TurboTax guides you through the tax preparation process pretty easily, and the main work of gathering the information you have to do yourself anyway, regardless of who you use. Not using H&R Block again!

Let me start by saying I am a vintaged baby Boomer, and I truly appreciate when an establishment's representatives display common courtesy. This forgotten art reminds me of a time, long past, when customer service actually meant servicing the customer. Nowadays, people are self-obsessed and could care less than a fruit about customer resolution.I recently visited Block Advisors in Gambrills Maryland with questions about an Excessive 401K Contribution. I was assisted by a throwback Advisor (LaShonne). LaShonne was professional and extremely thorough while researching solutions. And, she displayed an enormous amount of patience with me. Eventually, LaShonne provided valuable information on how to correct my problem.In conclusion, LaShonne's personality is uniquely benevolent. She is a fine example of how your company is perceived! It's my hope that the entire staff are the same. If so, I'm honored to maintain a lifetime business relationship with Block Advisors.
