Always clean, organized, color and size coded. I have three kids at various ages and they always have great items. The staff work hard there!

This used to be my go to place when my now 9 yo daughter was smaller. I have a new baby now and I don’t know who is pricing the items but they need to do better. A 3mo onesie shouldnt cost $5-6 for one piece! This is used clothing. I get a better price point at Walmart, Burlington, Marshalls etc for brand NEW items. Sad to see that its not what it used to be.

I wont be coming back at all. It was such a waste of time. Spent 3 hours just for two small bags of items to sell. (one were shoes & one were clothes, all GREAT condition and 1 coat that was barely worn. Just for them to offer to buy 8 of my items for $13 ! they buy your stuff for .50c & up to $1.50 then turn around a resell it for way more. I made sure I brought things that were fairly used & also in season! As i look around the store i see a ton of items there that looked disgusting, the baby table eating chairs were discolored, the strollers were not cleaned out properly and looked nasty & the clothes did not look up to par, as you can tell the brand new items apart from the ones “gently used” a little too much for them to have had to turn down so many of my items. Some toys are broken and did not look cleaned Im just confused on how they are even open! atleast at this location. I wish i would had spoke to a manager. i understand they need to make a profit but the cost of alot of their items are ridiculous to buy for “used” stuff. I much prefer to spend the same amount of money on clothes that are actually new. Their prices are becoming ridiculous for this to be a thrift store for children. I was VERY DISSATISFIED.

Store is well maintained, clean and organized. OUACG has a variety of clothing for all ages (sizes ranging from newborn to child 16).

Such a waste of time and has, the store has lots of clothes and items however you can get unused items from Walmart or another consignment shop. The price quoted was so low that it is not worth returning. I suggest you go to another store because it is not worth the hassle.

Somewhat pricey on some items for used clothing
Overall good place to get kids clothes. They are extremely picky when it comes to buying clothes from you. You don't get that much money. Search your clothes to make sure there are no stains or looks worn much. Call before to be sure they are taking the season and sizes for that season. Mad have them ask the manager to double check. Called both locations and said they took when I had. Go pick up my stuff. Barley got any money and both locations said they had no room for the clothes I had.

Frustrating how when you take in a lot, they don’t go through all of the clothes, you get half way through and the stuff on the bottom is still neatly folded the way it was when it was dropped off. Also EXTREMELY annoying how you fold outfits together, but yet they only take either the shirt. Or the bottoms. More than once this has happened

Had a nice experience. Store was easy to shop and the ladies ask if I need help any time I visit. The clothes wear well and we pass them down to the little ones when our kiddos outgrow them.

Dropped up a while big box full of toys and books some were brand new drove over an hour when I came back to pick up my stuff they gave me $1.70 for 7 items. They definitely give more for clothes than anything else.

The store is clean, staff is friendly but DISHONEST. I sold a lot of clothes and books and the itemized receipt showed they bought 67 items. 60 out of the 67 were accounted for and the rest was a set of box car children books however, the set included 9 books so they did not pay me for 2 of those books. I took pics of everything I sold but did not take individual pics of the set which is why I didn't catch it at first. Make sure to keep track of your items! This is the 2nd OUAC to keep more than what they paid for, the first being the Fredericksburg location. I will not be returning to this location.

Great location with a huge variety of clothing for all sizes. Love the 20 onesies for $10 deal you cannot beat that. I also found brand new jordans, timberlands, and uggs for an amazing price. Clean store, friendly staff. What’s not to love about this place?

I can’t say enough great things about Once Upon a Child* in Gambrills! This store has been an absolute godsend for me as a parent of two. I’ve been a loyal customer for six years, and every visit is a treasure hunt for high-quality, gently used items. They are so selective about what they accept, which means I always find clean, well-maintained products at amazing prices.
Their selection is incredible. I’ve scored everything from brand-name clothes and shoes to larger items like a play kitchen, a train table, and even an electric Thomas ride-on with tracks for just $25! The savings are unbelievable, and when my kids outgrow things, I can sell them back and make some money in return.
The staff is always courteous, and the owner is very responsive, which makes shopping and selling here a smooth and pleasant experience. If you're a parent looking for great deals on quality children’s items, this is the place to go!
