Customer service doesn't exist at this location. Shop elsewhere if you can. I have entered the store and been alerted by an anonymous voice that "We close in 30 minutes." I have been told curbside required answering on the app. Then the next time the app is frozen and the phone lines are ignored. If you enter the store, a clerk will claim physical ailment rather than assist you with getting your 32 pounds of kibble to the car and no cart is offered.I have been ignored while waiting in line so that two employees could work on an internal issue. After waiting patiently for five minutes I asked if I could check out and was told, 'Ma'am we'll be with you as soon as we finish this.' With that they continued working over whatever they were doing. A person joined the line behind me, and I asked if there was anyone else in the store who could wait on me, while they continued what they were doing. The girl who seemed to be the manager said, 'ma'am it's just a few minutes!' To which I responded yes, but it's a few minutes while you're on your job for me, a quick trip has been unnecessarily extended and I have other errands. I just want to pay for these few items and go. The 10 minutes I've waited is unfair! And the bag of food is heavy! The "manager" said she wasn't going to argue with me walked away and told the other girl she could wait on me. That girl walked to the unoccupied register and waited on me. After this, I avoided this location at all costs. Avoid this place.

I had to drive 45 minutes to the closest store that carry's the brand I need for my pups. I have to past at least 5 different store which is an inconvenience especially if you need it for an emergency before your auto ship order arrives to you. When I arrived to the store they had the wrong item waiting for pick up. Good thing I checked before I left. The store rep was really prompt with running back and getting the correct food I purchased.

Petco is great but I can never get help in the aquarium section, every time I go, im waiting at least 20/30 minutes when I already know what I want, I have to search for help or wait in the check out line to ask for help.

Pretty Drab and dimly lit. The shining star was the super friendly staff member on who was incredibly helpful. I feel like this location (all locations really) could us a facelift

I love coming here, my only problem is if you order ahead for pick up you still have to wait in the normal cashier line to pick up, this should be seperate

Extremely limited variety of Fancy Feast, especially the higher nutritional content/grain free, no cases- only sold by the can. Extremely overpriced. Cashier lies, giving BS excuses for lack of product that insults the shopper and the product. Sadly, this comes up for Petsmart in this area- I highly recommend driving to Bowie, Annapolis, or Glen Burnie for an actual Petsmart rather than bothering with this hot mess.

Store is clean and has a good variety of great brands for all pet needs. It is on the smaller side than other Petco's and it is hit or miss if you are going to have welcoming and friendly staff.

I was at the Crofton location today with my boyfriend and the VERY rude fish lady(short white and a little bigger with glasses) refused to help us pick out a fish because we bought fish yesterday with this very lovely african american women.... how does that make us "not eligible" to get ONE fish??? Me and my boyfriend upgraded our tank and put our fish we bought yesterday in that one. We were going to buy ONE fish to put in our older tank and give it to my boyfriends brother since we no longer needed the smaller tank. If anyone can please enlighten me on the rules of how many fish you can get and what's the timeline on when you can return to get another fish, that would be great. Will never return!!!!

Love this store and the people in it. The groomers are always awesome and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This is my main store and I am thankful for it.

The Petco in Waugh Chapel (Gambrills,MD). So I have been wanting a Black Moor Goldfish. I have had one before and he lasted forever, died of old age. This Petco finally got some. I had almost $300 dollars worth of stuff in my cart for this fish. They refused to sell me this $6.00 fish. Told me that I needed a 20 gallon tank for this 1 gold fish. I said I have had this kind of fish before and that you don't need that size tank. They then came back with 4 or 5 other excuses. Finally they said that the manager stated she would not sell me the fish because, if the fish died they would not be responsible for refunding me the $6.00, therefore they would not sell me the fish. If you read the reviews on the actual website for this location, I am not the only one that has experienced these issues pertaining to the selling of their fish. The employees were condescending and extremely rude! The customer service and management are the absolute worst and they all should be fired and replaced with personnel that want to make money for the Petco chain and whom are courteous and helpful with their patrons. I will never go back and I plan to tell all of my pet owner friends to not waste their time or their money in that particular Petco. As far as I am concerned, PET SMART will now be my new place for buying my pet products!

I honesty expected more because the location I normally go to has me spoiled, but I was so disappointed and won't be back. The smell was horrible (I know it's a pet store but I have been in pet stores that don't smell like pet stores if that makes sense). I needed help finding a item but there was no one on the phone to even assist me. When I asked the cashier was anyone available to assist people on the floor she said no. Based of the customer service and smell it's a no for me.
