Honestly, out of all the storage units I have ever had… this one should offer their units for free. It’s almost funny how horrible they are. So the gate closes at 10pm. As in, you won’t be leaving unless you’re out of there by 10pm lol.
Try calling them. If they get “irritated” by you for inconveniencing them with a phone call - they’ll literally just hang up for no reason haha. And call back. They won’t even care at all.
Let’s just hang up on our customers. Sounds like a great idea. Oh, and now the exit gate doesn’t work. Yes I’m serious. How long until they fix it? Who knows. I would say call and ask but, no point on that. They’ll probably hand up, how dare you inquire about when you’ll be capable of leaving (when the office itself isn’t)
Find another place to store your possessions. A dumpster would be more reliable than this place.

In today’s mail, I received yet another notice of a rate increase for the unit I am renting at Self Storage Plus in Gambrills. Along with the significant increase, they are now charging a “convenience fee” of $5.95 per month if you make a payment using their online portal. I have been a long-term tenant at this facility, but am not pleased with the frequent rate increases, as well as the new fee. The notice of the rate increase did not make any mention of the $5.95 fee. In order to avoid the fee, you have to make your payment in person at the office, which I assume is either cash or check. If you find yourself needing a storage unit, I would strongly suggest researching other facilities to see if there are better terms. I have come to the realization that I am throwing away my money on storing things I rarely see and in all likelihood don’t need. Don’t make my mistake.

Nikki is the greatest.
She is very polite and patient and accommodating to all of my questions and needs. I am very happy with the facility and please with the cleanliness that self storage plus has provided me.

Visited the Self Storage Plus in Gambrills and was taken care of by Gary! He is such a hoot & was very accommodating, even offering to come in earlier than his office hours to ensure i had access to the facility!

Gambrills Self Storage is wonderful to work with. They provide excellent customer service, contacting you to make sure that they are meeting your needs, whether that means upsizing or downsizing your unit. They refused to over-rent units to us, working with us to get us exactly what we needed. Their facilities are easy to access, clean, and secure. We have worked with them multiple times over the past 15 years and it is always a positive experience.

Ok so the facility is nice. But the hooks involved in doing business here are questionable at best. Moved in $145/mo. After a year 165/month, few months later 189/month now a few more months and boom $225/mo. They call it routine every 6 month increases-no notice, no warning, non-negotiable. Just not worth it and attitude if you question them. I started packing up today. Has to be a better more reasonable place for a disabled combat veteran to store his things. I'd rather donate them to Goodwill than be taken advantage of. ---follow up---took me a week to move out. Every day that I went there to start moving stuff someone from the office came and just happened to be near my unit. Called the number provided below, fast busy signal. Moved out 7 days into the month, no rebate, no refund, not even a roll back to the price I had agreed to. The nice lady in the office, not to be confused with Barney Fife, did say they didnt have my email address, so he was bluffing when he said they emailed me. Lowering score to 2 stars as I really do not believe anyone there cares. Buy a bigger house, it's cheaper.

I checked out most of the storage facilities in the area, but decided to go with Self Storage Plus in Gambrills based on the feedback about customer service, and price. Reserved online, but as life goes, was unable to make it to the facility over the weekend. I got a friendly email with options to change my reservation, etc. I finally was able to go in a week later after work to set up an account. What an amazing team they have! Great customer service, clean facility, easy check-in. And I ended up with a better rate than I had expected from online. And did I mention the great customer service? Friendly, hospitable and just an all-around pleasant experience! I'm really satisfied with the unit and the entire experience. Just what you need when in the midst of moving (chaos), and a nice end of a tough work day! Thank you!!!

Have had No issue! Clean and safe! Of course like most people price is getting a little pricey! Being on a fixed income have to account for every penny! Not having a place of my own, don’t have lots of options! Miss Lil and Mr Jay are nice people! Never had issues with either of them! Very helpful! All in all No complaints!

This is the best storage facility in Crofton area. Excellent customer service, all staff was very helpful and friendly. Most of all, they keep the place very clean at all times. I would highly recommend this facility! ?
