Charlie is a one year old miniature dachshund who just had his first surgery to be neutered. Dr Cox and her staff are caring, and very nurturing with the care they give all of my doxies I have been going to Dr. Cox for over 11 years and she’s the best! I find comfort and taking my dogs to her and then seeing her every time it helps with their anxiety and mine as well. Thank you very much Alpha veterinary for all the service you get my fur babies..

I had an appointment January 30th for Gizmo my cat. Has a small urinary infection. I take off work which I lost money for. Then I try to catch my cat. Put in a cage. Yeah it’s hard. I get there and a fat mean lady tells me I’m wrong. No. I wrote it down as we spoke. I took off work. Then she says they call days before….. nope. No call. So basically it’s you are wrong it’s your fault. So I traumatized my cat for their mistake but it’s like Russia. Their word versus yours and no apology. Not one I’m sorry. Not one good vibe. They were not busy I said well I drove here I’ll wait…. Nope. Leave it’s tomorrow is what I got. So thankfully I found a nice vet to take Gizmo and I won’t ever deal with fat miserable women like that ever again

Great care, good price. Love the staff. Unfortunately I was late on getting a second opinion with Alpha. (First was at Banfield what a mistake, NEVER go to Banfield). Tucker passed, even though they had only a brief interaction with him they were so kind, and I even got a sympathy card. Next dog they will be coming here for sure.

Very friendly and experienced staff. But I found it quite expensive. Shots& neutered for my puppy was about $900.00.

Dr. Cox and her staff were absolute angels when my dog Toby got sick and unfortunately had to be euthanized a few months ago. It was a very rough day for me (as it is for anyone) and I can't thank them all enough for the care he got before his passing. I am excited to bring my new puppy here.

The worst vet clinic in MD located in trash burnie. Hires nurses off the street with no knowledge or care to animals. Doesn't let you go inside with your pet since they are still in the illusions of the pandemic still exist.

Vet still pushing mask usage for an appointment for us to put our elderly dog down. Still won’t allow more then one person in. Terrible customer service.

My husband and I have been taking our animals to AVC for a little over a year now and we absolutely love this facility. The team at this clinic is not only highly professional but also incredibly kind and compassionate. They ALWAYS call to check up on our animals following vaccinations and other various appointments, and we truly appreciate that level of service. On top of those standout qualities, scheduling is flexible and their pricing is affordable. We’d recommend this vet clinic to anyone who wants great care for their pets!!

Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. I always bring my cat here for her nail trim and vaccination and they’ve been very careful, understanding and helpful.

They took good care of my baby. He got blood work done. Then he got Nuetered a few days later. He's doing great.

Nice place that treats my dogs well and keeps them comfortable but beware of vaccines... That is why I am rating it a 3 stars. If I lived closer to my old vet I'd go there since they had emergency contact numbers and such but I have to make due here.I brought my Husky pup in for a series of vaccines and wasn't made aware of any possible intense side effects. We live less than 5 min from Alpha and noticed severe swelling and discomfort in our pup and as we packed into the car, we called. No answer. When we pulled up there was only one car there and I had to knock on the back window to get someone's attention. Thankfully someone was there otherwise I would have been obligated to go to the ER and possibly face a substantial bill for the reaction...I think possible side effects should be made apparent and if they aren't going to remain open in the event of an emergency like this, then they should reschedule that vaccine to accommodate time for the patient to sit in the parking lot (since they don't allow anyone to sit inside) and wait to see if there is a reaction or not. This last visit left me pretty upset... especially since we had left not even 10 minutes prior. I honestly would have given it a 1 or 2 star had it not been for the previous visits having gone so well.If you're vaccinating your dog, I'd probably try to get an appointment as early as possible or decline until you can get an early timeslot because in the event something happens as a result they may not be there. If you can't get an early slot, go elsewhere.

Alpha is a caring place by all working with & for the pets. It is overbooked & difficult to make appointments.
