The first time I came to this shop, they fixed my old 99 Ranger manual at an amazing price and so quick. This was in 2013. 10 years later, I have an 07 f150 that's slipping constantly, replaced the whole transmission and was really good with working it out with me for the cost of the repair. A few weeks later, the truck was shifting into neutral when it should have been shifting into 4th gear. I sent it back but they couldn't find any issues at the time, I replaced a few parts they suggested it might be (that the truck needed anyway). When I replaced my fuel filter, I noticed my transmission fluid was leaking, so I sent it back again. I'm thankful to have gotten a great warranty with them, they are now in the process of replacing it again for me since they transmission that was originally sent went bad only after a few weeks of having it. Terry has been super helpful and polite, he's been amazing at helping me through this. :)Forgot to mention, all three times I had to send the truck back to them, they towed it for me because I was too scared to mess it up further. Great customer service! The tow truck guy was also really nice. :)

This place is excellent. I had my car towed to Glen Burnie Transmissions two weeks ago to find out if my transmission was dead and figure out if it was worth replacing. Everyone who works here is so kind and helpful and they gave me their honest opinion that it would not be worth it for me to replace my transmission (effectively turning down money for themselves), which you don't often see anymore. My car then sat at their shop for two weeks while I figured out what to do with it and again, the people who work here were so kind and patient and helpful. This was one of the best experiences I've had with any mechanic and if I have any issues with my new car I know where I'll be taking it!

My transmission died.. They towed it to their shop,and found me a slightly used transmission with 1K miles. Got it ordered and installed pretty quick. Great Shop, not the cheapest but they get it done and get you back in the road.Buy one time, Cry one time....

The don't give you a clear timeline of how long they will have your car and don't communicate if they are running behind. The girl who works in the office was very polite and tried to be as helpful as she could given the circumstances.

I have used GBT services several times in the past 10 years. No, I don't have bad driving habits, these were all different cars ??. From the front desk to the lifts, this is a professionally run organization. Every repair or replacement comes with a 3 year 100k mile warranty. I take comfort in that. When my 2015 Nissan Rogue started coughing up its CVT, I immediately contacted GBT. With a 2 week wait time to receive the trans, I drove and nursed the car on short trips. The trans arrived when they said it would, and immediately worked me into the schedule the next business day. The car was ready when they predicted, paid by phone, and picked it up after hours on Friday. The shift cable wasn't adjusted properly, and was one gear off on the selector. Spoke with them on Monday, addressing the problem. They requested I bring it in on Tuesday morning, and I would be seen immediately. Tuesday came and I walked into the office, the service writer instantly hailed a tech, the car went on the lift, the repair was made, and I was on the road in 20 minutes. Could they have caught that during quality checks, yes. That is why the review is missing a star. Did they more than take full responsibility for the error, also yes. Did they do everything they possibly could to remedy the issue, also yes. This is why I will continue to use their services. We are all human, and they just had a human moment.

They are the best to my knowledge, I haven't had their service bet reputation is remarkable. People say their a little expensive but sometimes you gotta pay to get great service. I'm hoping to be able to use their service in the future

I took my daughter's car to GBT. They informed me that it would cost $6000 for a new transmission. She paid the cost for the repairs the day we picked up the car. This review is not on their craftsmanship, but their lack of customer service/appreciation.When we got home we noticed that the glove compartment and missing contents, loose change had been taken, the vehicle was dirty on the inside, food was dropped in the car, signal light on the driver's side was broken, a dirty white tee shirt and drug paraphernalia was left in the car. I called back and spoke to a company rep. I asked to speak to the GM who was not there. So I sent pictures and an explanation of what was found to the reps. Email that he gave me. I asked for follow up 2 days after my email was sent. I wasn't looking for anything other than good customer service. I wanted someone in management to hear my concerns, offer to fix what they broke and clean the car. What if I or my family had been stopped on the way home with that drug paraphernalia they left in my car. Their good customer service is to take your money way the finger at you. Use the steps below so this won't happen to you.1. You and the service writer do a pre-service inspection. I suggest record or take pictures on side and out.2. Take an odometer reading.3. Before you pay for the repairs do an after service inspection with the service writer.THESE 3 STEPS WILL HELP YOU AVOID WHAT HAPPENED TO ME.9/18/2023Update, GBT Stepped up and took care of the issues I listed. They replaced the broken signal light, cleaned the car. It is my understanding that they have put a new procedure in place to prevent this from happening again. Thanks GBT for taking ownership and providing good Customer Service.

I had my truck towed to Glen Burnie Transmission April 16, 2023, before getting it towed I gave them the make and the model and vin number over the phone of my vehicle and they gave me a estimate to fix transmission for $5,100 including tax….once the truck was completed they told me I needed a new battery which my old battery was only a year old. I approved it..never thought the price would go up so much! The sales rep then called again and said your vehicle is ready and the total is $5,990.00..I said to add a battery made the price go up $800 really! The sales rep called at the beginning of August to see when I would be picking up my truck and I said I needed some time to come up with the money especially since the price went up. He connected me to the owner who told me if the truck is not picked up by the end of August 2023 he would put a lien on it. Well since it took them 2 months to fix my truck the common courtesy would be at the end of August to charge me a daily storage fee instead of calling me and saying if the truck is not picked up by the end of August 2023 they would put a lien on my truck. I wouldn’t recommend during business with this company period!Service: Transmission

Took my car here - told a gentleman at middle desk ,that engine has misfire and jerking issue.Next day,he called and said ,engine has a problem ,we do not do engine! We do not know the issue !come and pick up !And they charged me $150.I think I can say they stole from me .I told the guy why you did not told me yesterday and with no eye contact he said ; I would not know !Stay Away!

What can I say about Glen Burnie Transmission... this business and the staff were so awesome from beginning to end. My Challenger needed to go in for service, and I was very unhappy. Howard was so patient and had such a calming spirit that I was instantly reassured it was in the right place. When I came ro make my final payment and pickup my car, the ladies in the office were so organized and I must say, I've seen mechanic offices and this one was the most organized right down to the files. I hope to never need them in the future, but if I do I know where I will go for service. I recommend them highly.Service: Transmission

I had G B T replace my transmission four thousand plus dollars .Tha work was not complete left parts off I was asked to bring my vehicle in and I did I left it there one week later thay never looked at my vehicle I went and picked my vehicle up and to this day three weeks later I have not heard from them ! !

Parts are backlogged across the industry. Once parts are received they have a quick turn around. Mi e was done in less than 24 hrs. Great communication with the front office. Cashier Barb was so sweet.
