Purchased a PHEV vehicle from Tate via the excellent salesman Tom Bowe, whom I had been interacting with via email. I had an unusual ask to get proper paperwork so I could obtain an EV tax credit when taxes are filed in Jan/February of 2024. Despite not getting many such requests, Tom and ownership made it happen and gave me the exact paperwork I was looking for.In regards to the sale experience--everything was advertised. Same price as on the website with nothing out of the usual in terms of fees. A free Carfax on the website to see what you're getting into along with a test drive and a 3k/3mo warranty for free. It was an in and out buying experience and a week later everything continues to be smooth with the vehicle.I had obtained pre-approval financing and the financing dept at Tate was able to get me a better offer along with getting all paperwork signed in short order.Thanks again to Tom Bowe and Tate Used Cars for the professional business transaction.

I’m a pessimist when it comes to dealerships. The last car I bought had the typical discuss the price then see the final order and there’s $2,300 to fight over again with added fees and options etc. This was the best car buying experience. No haggle policy, and when they talk numbers it’s the same thing you see on the paperwork. Also had a lot of communication issues with other dealerships. Here I never had an issue getting in touch or getting extra photos/info any time of day. Big shoutout to Tom, there’s a lot of dealers that will try to butter you up then screw you over or try to force you into something, but he’s a genuine guy with a great personality, no pressure and no rush. I went out of my way to get to this dealership since they had the car I wanted, and I wish it was closer because I would absolutely buy a car there again.

RUN! NO HONOR!We purchased a vehicle from Tate Certified Pre-Owned in Glen Burnie on 7/8/23. We ultimately chose Tate because of their advertised 3 month, 3K mile, bumper-to-bumper warranty on all their pre-owned vehicles. We specifically asked about this warranty and were told by our sales rep, Lissbeth Gonzales and Tate business manager, Greg Cacchione this warranty is included with every vehicle and any issue occurring during this time is completely covered, bumper-to-bumper. We additionally purchased an extended warranty and GAP insurance for our vehicle.Within 24 hrs of purchase the ABS light came on the dash, a rattling nose heard under the hood, along with a loud squealing sound from the rear breaks. We contacted the dealership and arranged to drop the car off for service on 7/12/23. This was the first of FOUR encounters with the Tate service center and our vehicle remaining in the shop for 4-5 days per occurrence. Every time we left the service center we were told the issue was resolved, but within 24 hrs the ABS light, rattling nose, and squealing sound resumed. Nearly the entire first month since purchasing our vehicle from Tate we were driving a rental car!On 8/5/23 we finally received an invoice stating;(1) Vibration noise in exhaust tested and found exhaust rattling noise at resonators and suggest replacing muffler assembly. -Estimate for repairs $2,205.99.(2) ABS tested and found break module malfunction.-Replaced break module.(3) Squealing in breaks tested and found break dust built up in front and rear. -Cleaned front and rear breaks.When we questioned why we were being charged over $2,000 to fix a problem that should be covered by their standard warranty, we were told, this expense was our responsibility because the vehicle passed inspection (they themselves performed the inspection) which means they were unaware of this issue and therefore not responsible nor liable to fix anything. When we asked about the benefits of our extended warranty, that too was invalid because extended warranty’s do not cover pre-existing conditions.Since these numerous issues have come to light, we have been given the run around by Tate Dealership and Tate Service Center.We have spoken to anyone who would listen and finally sales manager, R.J Macey said, “we will split the cost of the repairs with you.”When we pushed back and asked to speak to the General Manager, we were told no one in the entire building had his contact information. We ourselves found this information online and left numerous messages until receiving a return phone call on 8/24/23.Up until this point, though this situation had been frustrating and time consuming, EVERYONE at Tate, including all those mentioned above be name, had given us the same level of kindness, respect and professionalism we had given them, but General Manager, Shawn Frick was the exception and told us, “legally we don’t have to fix anything and if it were up to me I wouldn’t have even offered to split the cost with you.”All we have asked for is that Tate HONORS their advertised 3 month, 3K mile, bumper-to-bumper warranty and make the necessary repairs to our vehicle. We have since asked about the possibility of trading this vehicle and choosing another from their lot, but that too was denied without explanation.At this point, the ABS light has not turned back on since the module was replaced, but the rattling noise and squealing breaks continue to this day, and we feel this vehicle, without the necessary repairs, poses a safety hazard to our family.We would like everyone at Tate to know that we held off so long in writing this review because we initially were BEYOND impressed with your entire team! Our car purchase was seamless and truly THE BEST experience we had ever had! We had sincerely hoped that you would stand behind your warranty and honor your word… unfortunately that has not happen.We are MORE THAN WILLING to update this review when repairs to our vehicle are made free of charge.Thank you & we hope to hear from you soon!

Do not go here unless you plan on buying a vehicle on the spot!! They won't help you! Salesperson clueless about vehicle. Could not figure out AC controls.

I have bought my 2nd car from TATE and would recommend them to anyone. My salesman Joe Holden listened to what I was looking for from when I started looking online until I came in the store and test drove the car I was looking at and bought. I am excited about the new car I have and am enjoying all the features in the car. I really like that it didn't take all day. In all it was about 2-3 hrs. E deciding and the sales , finance, and cleanup personnel stuff from trade in. Easy and I am extremely satisfied!

We bought a Jeep Gladiator about 3 months ago, Lenox was our sales person, professional, knowledgeable but not pushy at all. We had such a great experience I insisted my daughter go back to consider their inventory, she thought she had found the Jeep she wanted at another dealership. Unfortunately Lenox was off but Liz took excellent care of us! Again, professional, very knowledgeable and kind she showed us all the options and really helped my daughter get the best Jeep for her budget. Jeremiah in finance made the process so smooth! All the staff is very friendly and really there to help. Now let’s talk Certified PreOwned, it makes a huge difference to buy with confidence that you have a warranty if anything goes wrong on the power train to 90K miles! My daughter is young and this was her purchase but she learned a lot from shopping around at other dealers. She said, “they are honest and the cars have been inspected twice, they showed me what they fixed, these people know what they’re doing and I feel confident about buying this car ”

Customer for life! I just purchased my 2nd vehicle from Tate Used Cars and the staff is truly amazing! They gave me $3500 more for my trade in than Sheehy Nissan who tried to rob me. Steer clear of Sheehy and go to Tate for your next vehicle! They really know how to take care of their customers! The service department is also great! Never had a bad experience here and I am fairly new to the area and have had a lot of experience in the car buying industry, This dealership is by far the best! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you to Liz, Fred, RJ and the rest of the staff who made getting my dream vehicle a reality.

So I went to Tate last Friday afternoon, asked to look at the 2010 dodge 2500 diesel that they have advertised for $35,900They told me that it was in thier body shop for rear end damage,Said that it would be done and that they would contact me the next day so I could see it,,,,Never called me so I just happened to be in the area and stopped by to see it,They came out and said it was still in the body shop and it was done, said that I could drive over and take a look at it,Got over there and it turned out to be still damaged a different color, and a Dually !Totally different then what they advertised,,,,What kind of business is that?What a waste of time!And it's Still in their ad!Bait and switch?

Their call back is trash. The service department had lost my Jeep for a day, then when I told them what was already done, they did it again. And I paid. And guess what? 20 minutes down the road misfire cylinder 2. Yeah no thanks. Still waiting on that call back, it's been several days Cody.

They called me at 845am to ask me what I wanted done even though it was clearly in the scheduled appt. He explained that even though the website said that they offer pick up and drop off, they dont. So, thanks for the hassle? No one called me to say so. So, I had to drop it off and take a shuttle back home. By the way, I asked them to put my shade back on track (panoramic sunroof) and that costs $150!!! Get real. I dropped off my car approximately 9:15am for a 9am appt. When I came in, there was no one there to greet me. I walked in and no one said anything. My husband and I walked over to a desk with an older woman and she told us to stand to the left and wait on Richard. Richard was prompt and said that it would be 2 hours to look at the head gasket. I had explained that I wanted to make sure it was covered under my warranty. I left on the shuttle at about 9:20-ish. I called over 25 times (I have call logs) from 12pm-330pm. I was hung up on, transferred to Richard and Roger (an alleged manager) several times and no answer. Richard finally answered and said he was on break and never told me it would only take hours though me and my husband both recalled. He said he NEVER got a single call even though I have call logs and I also called SALES to transfer me to him... AND the horrible secretary transferred me. He, somehow, missed all of them! At some point, the secretary even stopped answering my calls. I have a 614 area code so, its not hard to ignore when you see it. Richard answered at about 3ish and said they put a dye in my car to see where the leak was coming from but no one has driven it or put it up on the "whatever" to see what was wrong. So, for 6 hours, all they did was put dye in it. Now, it is 7pm and they are closed. No word on the warranty, no call back. No word on my car. All of my children had to take a lyft home which cost over $100. This place is a scam. Richard said he NEVER got a single call but, I had called that number at 8:51am this morning and he answered... AND the alleged secretary transferred me at least 10 times. All-in-all, I am out of my money for a Lyft AND no car. They are closed. I have to work tomorrow and get kids to school. I can imagine that this business gives NO SHITS. I'll never come back. Trust the reviews. I can bet my entire paycheck that this review gets me even shittier service.

I took my car there twice for service for the same issues and iam tired of keep running back up there. And now iam over my 3k miles warranty and my car wasn't feel up with gas and properly wash when I brought it.

Jamal was excellent help and very patient. I would definitely come here again to buy a car. The staff was great and everyone is there was so nice and lots of help! Definitely worth every minute i spent there!
