“When I used to work in the area, this was one of my favorite Safeway to go to. They deli always good. They tuna salads, customer service. Everything was always been on point. Haven’t been in a while till today. They still have the same old when I was working in the neighborhood there three years ago.”

“I was not a fan of Harris Teeter when they first opened, but they have really gotten their act together, I found myself thinking when I was in a hurry and deciding where to shop, ".... but if I go to the Harris Teeter, they run their cashiers and front-end "tight" and get you out faster than Giant...." that's quite a compliment for a customer to think that about check-out of a store, not a fan of the set-up design of Harris Teeter check-out though, but Giant leaves you waiting while their employees talk to each other, when they aren't even busy, Harris Teeter puts Giant to shame. I've seen some issues w/customer service at Harris Teeter, but Giant is worse by far. I find Giant so horrible that I was shopping at Safeway at Fairview before Harris Teeter opened up at Marketplace... I think Harris Teeter regular prices are a little too high, just like Giant and Safeway, BUT, Harris Teeter sales are GREAT. I find that my grocery bill is MUCH lower shopping sale items at Harris Teeter (and Safeway sometimes too) than Target or Walmart that don't have sales on their groceries like Harris Teeter and Safeway.... I don't like the refrigerated egg section of Harris Teeter because I've gotten eggs ruined from being frozen more than once. I like being able to grab old coffee grinds to compost from Harris Teeter Starbucks. I have grown to really like many of the employees at Harris Teeter, very sweet and caring and helpful. Join their club for gas discount points at BP, and clip ecoupons to use when you use your club card at checkout, totally worth it.”

“If you fold your money in half, you double it quickly. I think kids have hair grease and wish they could cash a check that says a reputable grocer's name. Do not sign the check before you go here, that's not for you. She'll draw a line on it and be winky. You should honestly want to buy orange juice with your transaction.”

“Updated review: The location is perfect. Parking is free. I noticed that Harris Teeter is more focused on how long customers park in the garage. I saw a person with a clipboard on a recent trip. With several options in a small radius (Safeway, Giant, Trader Joe's, Walmart) there are some items I don't need to purchase from Harris Teeter. HT has great sales to get you in the door. If you don't need two items when they are "Buy one get one free," you can get just one item for half price. The produce section is hit or miss. There are a few items that are locally grown. I like getting tomatoes and supporting local business. Some of my favorites plant based or meat free items aren't stocked anymore (Worthington, Loma Linda). Morning Star items are stocked (less variety and priced higher than Walmart & Safeway). There are interesting clearance items that are always placed so they are noticed after I have already checked out. The store has a nice seating area for grabbing something for lunch & resting a minute. The personal touch has left the store. Even at peak shopping hours, there will only be one or two registers open. More self check out registers were added. I like interacting with a person when I check out. The shopping carts disappear quickly. If you see one in the parking area, grab it.”

“This small-chain grocery store has a better selection than most single-location grocers, and quality similar to larger chains. The particular delight is the butcher. You MUST have a cut just for you one day, and that day is today! Produce prices depend on the season and supplier-- I recently saw a type of squash drop from $7 per pound to $2-and-change a pound in three days, so watch for bargains. They had Cortland apples the other day when nobody else did (they are amazing for pie, less tart than Macintosh so use less sugar). The employees are friendly but they assume some folks can't comprende, sometime with amusing results. Naughty, but have a sense of humour about human nature!”

“Came in on a Monday at 9:15am for a passport photo after visiting another Walgreens location that was having difficulty with their camera. It wasn't busy but there were a few people in the store, so I had to wait about 5 minutes for my photo but the store employee was very professional. She worked quickly and diligently and printed my photo and had me out the door within 10 minutes.”

“I always receive such good service here. The staff is usually very helpful. Tracey went out of her way to find me something I was looking for that I couldn't find it on my own. Ms Bunny is always friendly and welcoming. Just be aware of your surroundings. They do have security and police around the clock to make it a bit safer though.”

“Kept calling the Money transfer before going for an hour with no answer. Took a chance and went to this one. The one on Georgia Ave was not working. I was happy to know it wasn't a Walmart wide problem.”
