“Mr. Rob has always done a good job for me. I remember when my brake line blew right next to his business at the Queenstown bank. I called him up and let him know what happened and he made sure he fit me in. And One of his mechanics whose name is Buddy fixed me right up. He also worked on my 2019 Ford f150 and service. The transmission which I know would be a pain in the butt but buddy got it done. They stand behind their work which is hard to find anymore these days. Mr. Rob is a pleasant person to talk to. Very respectful and we'll answer any question you have. I would recommend Rob's shop to anybody who needs automotive work. I can't say enough of good things about them. Whoever posts negative stuff about them. Well I don't know what to tell them. They've always been great to me and help me when I needed it. Good people at Rob's shop are very hard to find anymore these days. They stand behind everything they do. Thank you Rob and thank you buddy! Semper Fi”

“Thank heaven for places like the Hot Rod Garage. Dean (co-owner?) stopped by my house on his way home to look at the suspension problem on my '36 Olds. Free of charge. Who does that nowadays? They fixed the suspension (replaced both coil springs) and several other issues needing attention: timing, tightened distributor, carb adjustment, carb cleaning, repaired voltage regulator, new alternator, new boots for all ball joints, checked the a/c, fixed the aftermarket windshield wiper assembly and adjusted the emergency brake. Some of you true street rod enthusiasts are probably rolling your eyes that I needed some of these things done but for someone like me, who's just getting into it and who just bought the car, I am extremely thankful to have stumbled across these guys (thanks google). Honest, fair, helpful and efficient - all descriptives rarely applied to mechanics in general - much less to craftsmen in such a highly specialized field (where the opportunities for price gouging may be ripe). Five stars and a hearty recommendation from me.”
“This is an auto repair shop that I highly recommend! It was formerly Gilbert's and now J & S. My family has been taking our vehicles here for years and every time we have that been there we have received excellent service! These guys are very friendly, knowledgeable, dependable & down to earth. Above all, THEY ARE HONEST! I really don't know much about cars other than the very basics and unfortunately have had many bad experiences with unhonest repair shops that have ripped me off. At J & S, I've only had good experiences with honest and trustworthy service. If you don't really need something, they don't try to upsell you on unnecessary parts or repairs. “Broke down on way to Bethany on a Saturday. Google local shops for help, to no avail. Until I got ahold of Mel. He came out diagnosed problem ,towed me back to 3Ms shop and I needed a distributor. Mel fixed and I was back on my way. Highly recommend this family run shop to everyone. Friggin top notch! Courteous and knowledgeable. Can't thank them enough. Heck I'm 2 hours away and might just use again.”

The problem was completely different than a quote somewhere else. These guys also test drove and made sure everything was in tip top shape before handing the keys back over to us.
