I appreciated the senior veterans of the group who spoke up and gave good corrective feedback in realtime and taught the less seasoned members of the team. They were all very respectful of our new space- taking off shoes etc to enter carpeted areas. They worked hard and efficiently, and cleaned as they went. “I've used Bookstore Movers for three moves now during my DC tenure and they are, in a word, amazing. When you submit a request, they get back to you within an hour with an estimate. They are really helpful with everything you need to get done pre-move, the moving truck rolls to your front door exactly on time, and they are quick and efficient but very safe with the move -- everything gets wrapped up and taped up. All in all, we were done with a two-bedroom house move ten miles down the road (farewell, DC) in two hours. 100% recommend.”
“When I moved out of my parents home in Long Island to my fiancé's apartment in Colorado I had absolutely no idea how to do it while working 60-70 hour weeks. “Our task was a little complicated; we had bought a platform queen size bed frame. When it was delivered, we found that the headboard was bigger than our stairwell. The delivery people could not figure out how to get it up so we contacted several moving companies in the hopes of finding someone. David at TPC Transportation came through for us. He rented a lift and brought it in through the upstairs window over the front porch. He and his partner did an exceptional job, going out of their way to contact several rental companies before finding a reasonable one. They wrapped the headboard so there was no damage and removed and put the windows back for us. We would highly recommend them for any move, but especially for those ones that need inventive solutions. They did great.”

“These guys did an excellent job. On my job it was a 5 men crew, 2 trucks for 2100 sqft, including a huge basketball hoop. They were fast, professional, friendly, careful and flexible. They wrapped up everything nicely and asked about placement for everything that wasn’t labeled. They were even happy to move stuff from one floor to another even when we didn’t like our initial placement. Took furniture apart and put it back together. EXTREMELY reasonable prices. Please, offer to buy your movers lunch and tip as you would a server (though they did not ask for this). They work exceptionally hard and deserve every penny.”
