“First of all, I was very timid about staying at this hotel location. I read a lot of the reviews and they spooked me pretty good. But, I had to remind myself that most of the time people don’t take time out to post about the good, rather the bad.
I’m so glad that I didn’t allow the negative reviews to persuade me not to stay at this hotel. Upon arrival the two ladies at the front desk were very professional, polite, friendly, and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and had lots of places to sit not just on the bed.
I read in one post that someone was upset about only having 2 pillows on their bed. We only had 2 pillows as well, however, we asked the ladies at the front desk for 2 extra ones and they sent them directly up to us. One of them even called to ensure that they arrived to us.
The only down side to our stay was the thin walls. Some of the other guests were extremely loud. But to be fair, those guests were part of a wedding party. There was a lot of noise but it wasn’t unbearable. Weddings are an exciting time.
I also wish that there was a microwave in the room along with the refrigerator. I also didn’t like that you have to pay for parking. That rubbed me the wrong way since it wasn’t advertised on the website. But, I got over it.
Also, if you don’t scan the QR Code for parking after checking in you will hold up the exiting process. A few people failed to follow that instruction and it resulted in a disruption to those of us who did the appropriate thing.
I’d also recommend including the breakfast buffet option when you’re booking. It was absolutely delicious. The dinning area was very clean and well maintained by the staff.
Overall, I’d DEFINITELY recommend this hotel. Don’t allow the bad reviews to hinder you from staying here.”

“The newest class at Yogismile is Zumba on Tuesday nights. I took my first class last week and absolutely loved it! The instructor is wonderful, fun and encouraging. We danced, laughed and got great cardio! The studio on Main Street in Laurel, MD is a beautiful space and is warm and welcoming. Try it out!”

“My experience with Noelle's Event Center was phenomenal. I was very impressed by the pictures on the website. However, when I actually saw the venue I was blown away. During my visit, Mr Frazier was very professional and provided several options for set up, decorations and catering. The staff are also amazing and super helpful. My birthday party was epic, the food was scrumptious and people are still talking about it. Three of my relatives decided to host their upcoming events at Noelle's as well. So, if you are looking for a beautiful venue with wonderful staff who will make you feel like family this is the place for you.”
“I absolutely love Yards Park, especially during the summertime when I’m able to go on runs there. For example, today I only planned to run a mile, but because the scenery and atmosphere are so nice, I ended up running longer. It’s such a pretty area to walk, run, or just hang out by the water.
It’s also home to some of my favorite spots, including Osteria Morini and Barry’s, which makes the area even better. Overall, it’s one of my favorite places in DC and such a perfect spot to spend time when the weather is nice.”

“We had our wedding at HQO, and we had an amazing time. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful and spacious. We had 145 people at our wedding and everyone fit comfortably. We worked with Raul throughout the wedding planning process, and he was a pleasure to work with. We had lots of meetings and walkthroughs to coordinate everything with HQO and our vendors, and the process was smooth and Raul was so helpful and friendly throughout.”

“This is my favorite location in the Martin’s Chain. The pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, professional staff and service. The food is delicious and well prepared. The decor and spacious seating is impeccable. All of the other locations are great too. I’ve been to proms, weddings,crab feast , bull roast, and the American Italian Asso. Banquet over 40 years @ Martin’s locations through out Maryland. I love them so much, I work there on occasion through a temp agency. So my recommendation is twice as valid because I’ve been in the front and back of the events. The administration and management is the best.??”

“I went on a Friday night and also on a Sunday night. There was an instructor who gave us a Fox Trot lesson, which was for beginners. I learned alot. There are people who will dance with beginners and give you practice. The refreshments were very good, too.”

“This venue is absolutely stunning. It’s been several months after our wedding and we consistently still have guests telling us how beautiful our ceremony venue was. It has a breathtaking view of the Capitol and is extremely well maintained. We fit our 160 wedding guests under the provided tents for our ceremony with room to spare. Suzanne and the entire staff were a delight to work with and they really saved the day by accommodating us by scheduling a tour and our event very quickly after having our original venue cancel only 5-weeks before the big day.”
“It's a small quaint site with bathrooms and an open area for whatever you so choose and a small kitchen area as well. The only drawback is the parking lot is limited and it seems to be constantly under construction.”

“AutoShop is the latest venture from Edens, the owners of Union Market and most other development in the Union Market District. Housed in an old auto shop near St. Anselm, it's a large industrial space used for events.
I attended a week-long art event at AutoShop and it was the perfect venue. You walk up a concrete ramp or stairs to the second level. You're in a large open space that's industrial with brick walls, high ceilings, and exposed pipes. There are new restrooms in the back and two other rooms off to the side with old windows offering views of the old Union Market.
I've heard it's expensive to rent, but if you can swing it, it's a fun space with a rich history.”

“Beautiful rooftop venue with clear views of the Capitol, just like the name declares. Only hitch in the evening reception I attended here was the power cord kept falling off the beam where it was taped. Not sure if that was a venue issue or a vendor issue, but either way it was distracting. But you can't top the views and convenient DC location!”
“2.09.2026: Today, I actually took the leap and covered this beautiful and historic space. I was somewhat surprised to find that it's a functional building on the ground floor. On the 2nd and 3rd floors are high ceilinged rooms that exhibits art from the local practitioners of the arts. There were hardly any people there, and, I had the place mostly to myself.... always a good thing.
The highlight of the visit was the awesome wrought iron gate that surrounds Hill Center. I'm a sucker for black metal...and even more so for ancient black metal. Let alone that the design of the gate was worth it's place in a Hollywood movie.

“The rooms are very spacious and clean. The have laminate floors instead of carpet. We have a 2 bedroom so you can sleep 8 if you use the pullout. One bedroom has a king size bed with its own bathroom that has a standard tub/shower combo. The other bedroom has 2 queen size beds with its own bathroom that has a large shower. Kitchen has a service for 4. The only issue is some items have damage such as the refrigerator, cabinets and toilets. Nothing major but they are there. It is clean. You could probably fit a twin air mattress in the room with 2 beds and a full/queen in the kitchen/living room area.
Standard hotel breakfast is provided where you check in. Meaning, where you check in is not where your rooms are. Uou need to walk across the pool patio. Not bad when its warmer out. Its the end of February and its about 42 out. Not too bad. Odd that breakfast was done by 9:30. We came back from a store about 9:40 and there was just cereal, juice and coffe still. Most places its until 10. The staff is super friendly. Housekeeping came by to see if we needed more towels. It is convenient to lots of places near the University of Maryland without being in the middle of it. Would recommend this hotel to anyone with families or that need a full kitchen (standard fridge, stove, microwave over stove and dishwasher).
FYI - if you are not aware as i was not, there are speed cameras and red light cameras everywhere, especially as you get closer to the University. Where this is seems to be away from that but as you approach, keep that in mind. Everyone here drives SLOW. Deep breaths help.”
