This ALDI is far better than the other Hagerstown location. The other store is surrounded by constant panhandling and obvious drug activity, which makes shopping uncomfortable. This location is clean, calm, and stress-free

Extremely tired of the self checkout only crap. Waited in line forever and the cashier didn't say a word to me when she walked up.

I guess maybe it’s a German custom but if you wanna try and pay for something in cash at this grocery store location, you can expect to wait as long as the cashier wants you to wait while they are walking around every part of the store, but the one place they should be, the register.
Every single time I try and pay with cash. I have to wait at least 2 to 3 minutes for a cashier to show up. I don’t understand why someone can’t be ready to ring you up with cash when you need to purchase something. To make matters worse, the cashier that made me wait almost 5 minutes during my last trip, walked by the register twice before finally making her way over to the register. When the older lady with brown hair finally made it to the register, she felt the need to give me attitude like it’s my fault that she works there. I would rather deal with the screaming kids at Walmart than have to feel like I just felt trying to buy one thing at Aldi‘s. What’s the German word for “disgusted”?

They DO NOT verify the identity of people picking up orders. I have had groceries stolen. And they will not replace them. Since they don't verify ID, they do not belive you that someone stole your groceries. Aldi @ Sharpsburg Pike Hagerstowns also has poor quality products that go bad very quickly. I've had apples go bad in less than 1 day. The Aldi 2x as nice guarantee actually plays out like this. You are disappointed because you buy an experience poor quality item. Then, it goes bad and you are disappointed again. Then, they will not refund or replace.
It is also next to impossible to get a hold of ALDI.

I've always enjoyed coming to Aldi's as my primary grocery shopping store. However, last week I went there and my experience was fine until I went to check out. The cashier was throwing glass jars into the shopping cart like she didn't care if it got broken or not and their demeanor wasn't pleasant at all. I won't be shopping here in the future unfortunately.

People say I love complaining so here goes:
I used to love Aldi but now I dread going.
The produce has sometimes been plain rotten, even the stuff that comes in bags like spring mix. One time I saw the most rotten zucchini. Not just a little, but like complete and utter rot. Don't get me wrong, a lot of the time it's good, but the last few times I haven't been able to get spring mix because it's already rotting.
What ****** me off the most is that now, as of 8/18/24 they are always out of items, sometimes very average items, sometimes for weeks at a time. And this isn't just a few things, there are many many things they have trouble getting in now. It's so aggravating when Aldi is one of the few places you can afford and the big places scare you. I would seriously go back to shopping at Lidl every week if my aunt wasn't such an Aldi shopper (who takes me).
Another thing about Aldi that's not great is that they got away from carrying their own brand of low priced stuff and started carrying more higher priced brand name stuff. That's just more shelf space going to stuff I can't afford. I shopped at Aldi in the past because I could get more bang for my buck because I wasn't paying for a brand name. They don't even offer lower prices for brand name items because I see the same stuff on Amazon for the same price plus free shipping.
My last complaint is that they let people come in and buy for reselling and what not, like buying 25-50 milks or cans of something, or just completely filling a cart or two with one type of item. There should be limits, especially because they keep running out of stuff all the time.
Oh, and I'm sure my aunt would like to know why, why is the milk always busted open and pooled in each of the big trays? So that when you pull one out it's dripping milk everywhere and you have to make sure it's not leaking.
OH! And why doesn't anyone EVER empty the trashcan outside?
I think that I would like to point out the people that work there are very nice and very helpful. I've never had a problem with anyone working there. It's usually very clean. I also like that it's big and roomy.

They don't have tomatoes ? or any necessary vegetable at this branch.
Staff also wear headphones and don't respond to any questions.
Useless branch.
Please visit the other Aldi store branch on Dual Highway.
