Byers Market is a favorite store for many, described as the only true convenience store in Hagerstown as it stays open 24/7, 365 days a year. Customers have been going for years, praising the food as always on point, cooked to perfection, quick, and never wrong. The mac and cheese is called straight fire and the fried chicken is delicious, hot, and fresh. A summer favorite is the lollipops, a snowball with ice cream. Some note prices are a bit high but expect that for a convenience store. There is plenty of parking, with several spots up front and many along the curb. The store is considered kid-friendly with lots of food for kids, a sit-down area to eat, and bathrooms with changing tables. It is also wheelchair accessible with a ramp inside to the dining area and wide aisles. Vegetarian options are available; staff will direct customers to everything that's available and fresh. While overwhelmingly positive, one specific note mentions that the Pure Leaf sweet tea should be kept out of the sun to ensure quality. The market holds a special place as a favorite childhood place for many, with some customers making it a regular stop whenever they are in town.
Female employee went above and beyond to help me find what I needed for my sick furbabe. She even asked the butcher to cut me some raw chicken. I can't tell you how grateful I am that I found this little store that had an employee with a big heart! Thank you!!

They are one of three MD lottery XCAP retailers in Hagerstown. I used them to redeem my winning scratch card. They were friendly and got me on my way in minutes. Seemed like a reasonably safe area for such things.

I come for the food! Chicken livers, green beans, chicken noodle soup, the best comfort foods done conveniently and like home.
