I’m at Meritus hospital and my sister sent me the most BEAUTIFUL bouquet. All the staff coming and going keep commenting on how colorful, full and beautiful the arrangement is. I had to ask her where she got them to let people know when they comment and she told me Gibney’s.

My wife and I are well pleased the beautiful arrangement this florist provided for the service of our son. The lady I placed the order with was compassionate and efficient, helping to make this very sad day bearable. We could not have been more pleased with the fine job they did.

I’ve used them several times for birthday and anniversary flowers for my wife. The flowers are beautiful each and every time and they’ve been very accommodating when I’ve placed last minute orders to get them delivered in time.

I called this florist to have a get well arrangement made for a friend who lives in Hagerstown, MD. The person that I spoke to acted annoyed that I was calling their floral business to place a flower order (weird huh?). The conversation only went downhill from the initial greeting, which I greeted her and it was not reciprocated. It was painfully clear I was speaking to someone who does not care about customer service/repeat business and lacked basic manners. I decided to end the call and order from another florist. Rude/dismissive and condescending does not go over well with me. Some people live in a depth of misery I hope to never know. I did get a get well arrangement for my friend from another florist, who did not have a problem comprehending what I desired to send. This made me increase the amount of money I wanted to spend on the arrangement. Good customer service/professionalism and just basically giving a damn goes a long way...

This is by far the worst place to do business with. I am a small business owner and supporter so instead of ordering off of 3rd party website I went directly to this flower shop. I ordered my wife flowers for Valentine’s Day weeks in advance , and paid extra money for them to be delivered on Valentine’s Day. My wife’s schedule had changed so she had off my Valentine’s Day. I reached out to the flower shop via phone and spoke with a lady who said it was no problem and changed my order to be delivered the following day when she was at work. Valentine’s Day came and my wife received text messages and calls from co workers at work saying there was was flower delivered for her. I called and spoke with the flower shop. The lady I spoke with was very nasty and had a horrible attitude. I explained to her what the situation was and that I was not happy that my wife’s surprise flowers was not delivered the correct day. The lady’s response to me was you should have knew your wife’s schedule. I explained to her I spent 20 minutes on the phone changing the date yesterday due to her schedule changing. I even paid extra for them to be delivered on Valentine’s Day and didn’t even ask for that to be refunded since she was going to be receiving them the next day. This lady did not offer any empathy and quite frankly didn’t even care. She told me she would have the flowers picked up and redelivered the next day but the surprised was already ruined at that point. Plus after her nasty attitude and her being so unprofessional I didn’t want anything to do with that flower shop. She told me she would cancel my order and give me a refund. That nasty lady had them come back later in the day and take back the flowers they delivered on the wrong day. That is very embarrassing for my wife and wrong this place does not care about doing the right thing. Don’t make the mistake like I did and waste time ordering from this horrible establishment.

Very disappointed in this well established florist with the work, cost and lack of empathy. After getting over the sticker shock, I was disappointed in the corsage. I was presented with. While during check out being reminded how “labor intensive” they are and the issues with finding supplies….as these excuses where to justify the cost and lack of creativity. After being charge $45 the disappointment was obvious and it was asked if I wanted them to add anything? I asked for a fall color themed corsage to go with a maroon /brown colored dress…And I was given and white flowered corsage with color ribbon. I had no choice but to pay the price and take the corsage, it was needed for tonight and who else and where else was I going to get a last minute corsage. I then receive a call 45 mins before the shop closes questioning if I still wanted to “pick up my ordered corsage” I stated I already picked up the pre ordered corsage. Florists response…”huh..they must have made two” I questioned if that corsage was a fall color, and was told yes. I then questioned if I had someone else’s corsage? No one seemed to know. I was offered to come back and “swap” the corsages if I wanted before the store closes. My distance from the store was not going to allow me the time to go back to the store and get the correct corsage. I received a “I am sorry” no other offers to correct the situation. No offer to stay open till I came back in town. No offer to discount the incorrect corsage. Just the offer to spend more time and money on gas to come get the correct corsage if I wanted before the store closes. Yep folks….will not be using this florist in the future and will advise others to not either. Such a disappointment and frustration.
