I’m in town from Florida and needed to have my car checked over and an oil change performed. The guys were great! They got me right in and out quicker than anticipated. Everyone was super kind and easy to talk to. The waiting area and whole property were actually so clean and being OCD, I appreciated that. Having someone’s daughter there playing front desk manager was the cutest, she has found a calling in associating with customers! I feel secure in hitting the road back to Florida now thanks to the guys at Grease Monkey. See yall next time I’m in Hagerstown!!

The staff is very friendly, efficient and courteous. I would recommend Grease Monkey to anyone for the remarkable job they do on oil changes and for there honesty and not taking advantage of customers like other one's do. Thank you Grease Monkey for a excellent job and your honesty all the time.

While our family has used this place for decades, bad experience recently. Service tech didn't replace the cover during a routine oil change and ended up dragging it 50 miles...attention to detail matters...Service: Oil change

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I wouldn't recommend anyone take their business to grease monkey, unless you want to be left carless. My boyfriend and I were loyal customers for a while because we thought they were great, up until they weren't.They wrecked my car that was running just fine for 4 years. I had an oil change done with them (and I barely drive my car during the week because I WFH) and a few weeks later they checked my car because the check engine light was on, then a week later they replaced the engine coolant thermostat. They were the last people to touch my car, and the next day my car broke down because the oil filter fell out on the highway. All the oil spilled out and my engine failed. We towed the car to the nearest car mechanic, Mr.Tire. They filled our car with oil and it all spilled out within minutes. According to Mr.Tire, there was a hole in our engine block. So we left the car there. My boyfriend and I were stranded and had to get a rental car to drive back home. We got home exhausted and sunburnt from the day. We were supposed to be celebrating my birthday FYI.We went to grease monkey to report the incident as soon as our schedule permitted and I was shocked by the poor customer service. One of the mechanics questioned why we waited a week to go to them (like we don't have jobs and other appointments to go to? We went as soon as we could), and then he said "maybe it's an issue with the manufacturer." My car is 2011...if there was an issue with the manufacturer that would have presented itself way back then, not 12 years later. Then once we said that the engine died another mechanic got irrationally defensive "oh did YOU go under the car!?! Did YOU see the damage?!" What kind of argument is that? Even if I had been the one to look under the car, I wouldn't know what I am looking at. That's the whole reason I even pay a qualified professional to do the job for me.To their credit, they did say they would get in touch with Mr.Tire and investigate. We waited a week and heard nothing. We went back to grease monkey to see what was going on and they told me they couldn't get ahold of Mr.Tire. So I had to call Mr.Tire myself and I did get ahold of them. It was frustrating for me to have to do their job for them. I am not saying that they were lying, I am saying they weren't been persistent enough considering that I was carless. This should have been at the top of their priority list. Then they transfered my case to their insurance. And boy...was that whole case infuriating. Their insurance dragged their feet and after months and months of not hearing from them, when I finally followed up, they denied my claim without citing a reason. I had to get the reason out of them and the reasons for denying my claim...were LAUGHABLE.1. They cited that the insured (that is Grease Monkey) insisted that they double and triple checked every relevant part following an oil change. Right...cuz there's NO WAY they could have made a mistake. Not to mention, just because double and triple checking is part of a normal protocol, doesn't mean mechanics always follow it.2. Said that the vehicle's symptoms presented themselves 800 miles after an oil change. Yeah, but the oil filter fell out on the highway and they were the ones who touched it. That means they likely didn't tighten it to spec and over time it loosened and fell out. It's not like I went under the car and loosened it myself for sh*ts & giggles. I guess Grease Monkey's limited warranty is a load of malarkey3. Also, the insurance ran a car fax and found that there was quite a gap between oil changes for some time without citing when it happened. I was likely out of the country during that period, but I always did my oil changes on time. But even, then, how is that relevant to the case? They're a joke.I consulted a lawyer, but I did the math and realized it would cost just as much to sue them as it would to fix the car. Not worth it.They got to keep my money, but they los

Dealership said I needed brakes. Grease Monkey assured me I didn't. 2 years later I still don't. It's hard to find people you can trust. These are people you can trust. Honest. Fair. Experienced. Friendly. I'll never go anywhere else again.

I loved getting to meet some of the best customers you could ever ask for Pat and vallinda built a great business There was structure. if you didnt follow pats rules or quality of your work wasnt good you were gone.....Now management and supervision are out the window who knows if anything got looked over your lucky if you get fluid top off itll never be the same when pat had the business... employees wouldn't do the 16 point check or actually look into what services you've already had and the ones need. checking brakes and tire tread depth mine as well forget about that. just to hurry back amd milk that timeclock. I honestly like randy as a person but when it came to discipline or quality control the employees took that leash and ran with it. Once one person got away with something everyone follows and that cycle slowly goes on until someone speaks up and makes sure there all doing a decent job.If full-speed could contact me that'd be great

I love this place! They have a great and trusting group of guys that you can trust with your vehicle. I won't use another shop unless the problem is to big for there shop witch is not often. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to build a relationship with a shop that you can trust with your vehicle and know your not going to get ripped off.

Do not trust these people. They'll charge you an arm and a leg just for an oil change one. AndAnother thing they tried to tell me my car was beyond repair. All it needed was brakes to be replaced and brake fluid added along with a tie rod to be replaced and a CV axle. They literally tried to lie to my face about what was wrong with the car claiming it would take $10000 to repair just because there didn't want to work on the suspension. I got it fixed with the help of a home mechanic, someone I would definitely recommend and that won't steal your money
