The facility was well maintain the animals were well taken care of and obviously happy. The staff was friendly and helpful in making the experience of adopting an animal an exciting event for the family. I highly recommend it to anyone who is considering adding an animal to their family.

I got my first two cats 25 years ago. Now we just acquired a year old female spayed cat a week ago. She is now getting along with her male fixed cat roommate.

This is the nicest shelter. The staff are lovely and dedicated to the animals, and they have a very active volunteer population. They take in any animal that crosses their door, and they work with them until they find a compatible adopter. I can’t say enough good about this place.

This was my first time going here and it was to donate pet beds, toys and blankets. This place was amazing! The people were very nice, the place was beautiful! I didn't visit the dogs cause it was nap time but I visited the kitties. I highly recommend visiting with the furbabies here cause they are well taken care and they need loving homes and this is the place to get your furbabies.

This place is amazing , you can tell the staff truly care about the animals as soon as you walk in, despite the struggles and stress of the animal quarantines the staff still try to find and work to find the dogs/cats a home . I went in the other day to see if any cats would be compatible with my animals at home and everyone at the front was honest and caring . I hope to return soon.

My only regret is that I could only adopt two kittens. The entire place is excellent, the staff and volunteers obviously care deeply about the animals here and it shows. Thank you for helping me find my two precious girls!

Some of these items could possibly be donated. IF your manager in the Cat department didn't take her Manager Title to her head. She offered nothing but disrespect yesterday when me and my grandmother was in there. We have been in communication with Humane society since August 3rd. At that time we were told there was a sickness going around in the cats and we were told that humane society wouldn't have a problem taking in (2) 4 months old male kittens we had. As they would be ones that would be a quick turn around. However humane society asked us to call back in one week, to give them time to quarantine and eradicate the sicknesses going around. We called August 11th early morning and had to leave a voice mail. We were told only one person was answering the phones and handling the cats that morning. We called again right before lunch time. And a lady told us that she had a seperate area and would be happy to take the kittens since both me and my grandmother was overwhelmed with health issues. Grandmother has fractured foot and non weight bearing as of Thursday the 10th. We loaded the cats, and ran in to drop off the cats before meeting with the rest of the family for lunch. Or so that was the plan. When we arrived at Humane society there was one customer in front of us with a dog. An the lady helping this customer greeted us and knew my grandmother was the one that had called. As my grandmother was non weight bearing with her knee scooter. The manager came from The back office (left of the desk) and saw we were waiting. And ask how she could help us. We explained we were here to drop off the cats and The form's online had already been filled out.She responds "were not taking cats in at this time". And I explained that we had just called about 45 mins ago. And we were told to bring them in. The manager responds. Well I'm the manager and what I say goes. And we have a wait list of 70 people.I against told her, that we called. And we did not have time to take the cats back home as we had other plans scheduled. She says sorry that you were given inaccurate information. The manager was so rude and not only ruined my day and my grandmother's. But also the rest of my families as I had to take 1.25 hours trip out of the day to run back home, drop off the cats, and drive the whole back in to hagerstown halfway Blvd area to meet family for lunch. This wasted our gas, and ruined all respect we have for the particular manager served us. And if humane society believes this manager did nothing wrong. Then they should train their managers to be sure to give ACCURATE information to their EMPLOYEES so that way everyone knows what the operations are of the facility, and their statuses are for each department. This is the RESPONSIBILITIES of a manager. This manager was non professional. And had the whole conversation described above in front of the customer with the dog, as well as in front of the front desk employee that communicated with us over the phone, and greeted us.I want to bring this to the humane societies attention as it needs to be addressed. As we have previously donated and supported SPCA. However from here forward I don't think that will happen.

We have adopted several cats here over the last 6 years. Went in last Wednesday to get a kitten. Most were under quarantine but I did adopt a really sweet boy. I had gone in to adopt a boy and a girl. I was told the girl I wanted still needed to have her surgery. Called back a few times only to be told she still is not scheduled for surgery so I asked if I could come in and look at others instead and she said sure. I asked if any female kittens were available and she said “ you would have to check our website” which I did. So I drove there (36 minutes from our house that’s why I like to confirm before I go) and two young girls were at the front desk. Told them I was there to look at kittens and told them I was on a list for one already. I asked if the back room was open and she said oh yes. So I went back and looked, picked the one I fell in love with and went back to the desk only to be told “oh none of those in the back room are ready for adoption.” WHAT?? WHY DIDN’T THEY TELL ME THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE??? I told the girl you guys really need to update your website info. The girls response was “well we had some available 30 minutes ago.” AND?? Still does not excuse improper information on the website and not telling me the ones in the back were not available for adoption yet. I asked to be put on the list for the second one as well as being left on the list for the one from last week. I got attitude and I admit I was not happy. I mean come on. I had been in contact with a “Kim” about the first one on my list so after I left I called and asked for Kim only to be told she’s too busy. I asked the girl to have her call me. She said she would and then I asked “don’t you want my name and phone number” to which she replied, “I already have it.” I then asked to talk to a supervisor to which she responded “we don’t have one.” REALLY??? This place NEVER used to be like this. And I’m tired of the young girls at the desk acting like they know everything! I see here someone else was on a list for a kitten and never got called. I bet they don’t call me! And we donate to this place!!! Shape up people! I will be calling again and will speak to a manager or I will go higher up if need be! THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND YOU PEOPLE ARE BECOMING RUDE! If you don’t like your job or dealing with the public, then quit. I am beyond angry with the treatment and lack of respect from this entire staff! This is about saving these animals lives not about your ego!UPDATE-I left a message on a different extension. Got a call from the director. She apologized for all that happened and how I was treated. She is letting me take a kitten home and then bring her back for her surgery. She said they should have given me that option yesterday! So off I go to get my kitty! Thank you to the Director!
