As a repeat customer I was very disappointed. Wish I could give -5. Safelite does not use OEM glass....within 20 days of replacement we started our vehicle turned on the defrost & windshield cracked at the bottom. Spoke with customer service and was set up for a warranty replacement. But when we arrived at shop the female at the Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown md location was apparently having a bad day & basically blamed us & said they would not cover it. I then had another company come out to change it and was told no wonder it was the wrong glass..now within 2 months the new wipers that safelite replaced are bad(wondering if they replaced them at all) broken into pieces in the middle of a rain storm. Paid 60.00 Please do yourself a favor & avoid safelite, I feel like we were scammed because this was an insurance claim.

Had a windshield replacement. Made an appointment, dropped my keys off before 930am got a call 415pm saying its ready. They did a good job from what I can see it was some particles left but I will just clean it properly myself. Customer service was okay.

Great service and great installation, the young man was great at his job, very polite and all around friendly. There was a issue with a promo code I used and when they caught the issue they gave me a call and got me back the $88 which I wouldn't have even known about. Will use them again if I have another issue

I must say this was a huge disappointment, first on 2/06/2023 the office closed early. At 4:50 pm the doors were locked, no lights on maybe somebody was hiding. Also no note on the door that they had to close early for an emergency. Second I called on 02/07/2023 around 9 to ask when my car might ready. Was told the only thing they could tell me was it would be done before 5pm, cool. I pick my car up around 3:40pm figured I check the car over. I never left the lot, the car had large shards of glass in trunk liner, in the trunk, in the safety belts, on the head rests. Not little particle pieces the manager says happen after I drive. Blame the client is always a good look. Sure they offered to come out and vacuum it up, why would I trust you a second time when you couldn't get done right the first time? Maybe the training then tech and manger have aren't clear, maybe someone had an off day but looking at the feedback on reviews means the problem starts at the top. I have small kids what if they picked up glass or sat on it ? Definitely look elsewhere or have the insurance recommend other shop for glass repair needs.

Did a great job installing my window it's sucks I had a 9am appointment and waited until 11am for them to finish. Saw 3 go in that came after me that ain't right

Much better service at this location! I need the crash wrap on my window redone (previous application @ Winchester VA location was done hastily, blocked my ability to see & was coming off). This was done so much better allowing me to see my side view mirror & out my window. The service man even cleaned front & rear windshield and windows!

Safelite in Hagerstown provided me with an awful experience in a multitude of ways. The scheduled appointment was supposed to take 2-3 hours. I waited 4 and a half hours. Upon completion of my windshield replacement, I got in my car to find that there were shards of glass and dirt all over my dash, seats, and interior. They also forgot to cut out my state inspection sticker from my old windshield as well as my oil change sticker. This caused me to wait even longer. The next few days after I got home, I noticed a scratch in the hood of my car. It appears that the technician propped a windshield on my car and pivoted it, creating a circular scratch. When calling safelite, I took it back to the shop and showed the manager the damage. She stated that they could not have done this because, “there was a film on the scratch and we wouldn’t do that.” I park my car in a garage at home. My car is parked in a secure gated area for only two cars at work with cameras at all angles. There is no way the damage on my hood did not come from safelite. I am very disappointed with the service and how the manager, Sonya, handled this situation. Now I have to contact insurance to get this resolved.

I should have learned my lesson after the first debacle 6 months ago. I scheduled online and then was called the day prior to be told that they did not have the windshield. They rescheduled me and I showed up for the second appointment only to be told in person they still did not have the windshield. After a third appointment, I was finally able to leave with a new windshield fast forward to this broken windshield, I make an appointment online, I am again called the night before to be told that they did not have the windshield. I was asked to reschedule, which requires me taking a day off work given that I live an hour and a half away. I tried changing my day off work, but was unable to, however, thankfully, they called back and told me miraculously they had a windshield for the next day. I took off work, dropped off my vehicle in the morning, only to be told that the “new” windshield was damaged, and I would have to reschedule resulting in yet another missed day of work. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I had never before had an issue at any Safelite location.

Good luck getting anything done here.Made an appointment for a tuesday...Monday they call me and say don't have windshield moving appointment to wednesday. even though website says they have window in stock to let me make the appointment in the first place.Tuesday i get a call from Tory. She says she's confirming the appointment for wednesday and that everything is ready to go.Drop my truck off wednesday at 8am. Get a call around 1230 saying they actually don't have my windshield in stock and they need to reschedule again.She was very quick to blame the warehouse. Sorry i didn't make my appointment with the warehouse and the warehouse didn't call me and confirm my appointment after already cancelling it once.This stuff is not really that hard. either you have the window in stock or not. go touch the glass before you call people and schedule appointments.

They came and change a windshield in one of my work vehicles and DIDN'T clean the glass of off the dash board. There was small glass pieces that could cut our employees. So I had to take it to a detailer to have it cleaned up the right way. That was poor service this time. I was NOT VERY HAPPY with them.

Safelite was the best recommendation to replace the windshield of my van, but unfortunately was not like that. I did the whole process online and provide the vin number of the van where they can see model and year of this, leave my van in the morning and before 5pm they called me to tell me that it was ready and also that they could not recalibrate it, and I had to take it to another place because the van was very high, and they could not do it. HOW is that possible since they had the information and also when they saw it they had to know that they could not perform the recalibration because it was very high, they did not call me before changing the windshield to let me know about it, I wasted my time because now I had to look for another place where I have to wait longer for them to do it and my business has to stop because of Safelite, and I can't use my van because it's dangerous to drive in those conditions.

2 weeks I had the appointment. They say they are professionals (hmmmm). Not the case. I questioned the ability of them being able to perform calibration to get a 2023 vehicle back to factory specs. Wow!!!. Was I right a 2 hour appointment took 5 hours. They did not even do the proper research to ensure they could properly calibrate my vehicle in advance. At the 2 hour mark I was told, I was gonna have to leave as they could only get the calibration to 94 that it would work itself out if not come back in 2 days. 5 hours there, I witnessed at least 6 people come in and complain about the service that they previously had with multiple discrepencies from bad seals to parts being broke from them breaking clips. End game my truck was calibrated so they say but they had to reach out to another company to complete the service. Safelight should specify they may or may not be able to bring a new vehicle up to specs ahead of time. Additionally, check your OEM specs because they will not when it comes to voiding warranties with not OEM glass. Hope the replacement calibration is good as I never want to go to another safelight again and will emphasize to all my friends and family my experience here!!!

Ordered a factory window on line made an appointment, drive almost 40 mins from where I live because I was told with the factory I needed a recalibration needed to come to shop, get there and it is a after factory windshield once I told them that is not the window I ordered then the price jumps $422 more than what I was quoted, missing work 4 hours early because I was asked to come in earlier than appointment scheduled. They would not hold to the quote given on line after them being shown the difference between a factory windshield and an after market! Will not be doing business with Safelite again. They are over priced called another local window replacements and they were $300 cheaper than original quote.

Had a chip in the windshield fixed, and they left resin on the hood paint. Notified them and took it back for them to look at. Three weeks later, there was still no response to fix it.
