Rick is a one-man band. A good guy and a good, honest mechanic. I'll be returning hence-forth for anything I don't want to tackle in my driveway. I wanted to give zero stars.My son brought his truck here for an inspection. They did damage to his truck. A fuse was blown that effected several different things one of which was the communication from the computer to the engine and the truck was given back to us with numerous issues that it did not have when we dropped it off. They had no interest in finding the problem they caused or fixing it. They still charged him for the inspection and told him the truck needed 10,000$ of work in the form of a new transmission among other things. After taking the truck home stuck in second gear ( because computer wasn’t communicating with engine/ they said it was bad transmission) and a handful of other issues, my son was able to diagnose the problem and fix it the next day. And the truck has now passed inspection at another place where we had no problems. The owner here was very rude and would not take responsibility for the condition the truck was returned to us in, despite the fact we told him we had never had any of these problems before and we had the truck for a couple of months. While our truck was there, it was impossible to get a hold of them. They had told us they could do the inspection on a Thursday and we couldn’t even get a hold of them for days on end and finally they said we will let you know when we get to it, this was a week after our appointment and they acted like we would get it back when they eventually got around to it. Finally my son told them he was coming to get it and they somehow managed to do it so they could charge him. Again they were so rude about the problem that they caused by repeatedly trying to start the truck in an incorrect manner, they refused to understand that something had clearly happened by repeatedly trying to start it incorrectly. I would never go to them and would highly recommend you don’t either, they wanted us to let them fix things that were not actually wrong and a simple diagnostic test showed what the problem was and it was easily fixed the refused to fix what they had done and still charged us . It was horrible. My son has no experience as a mechanic he watches videos and is gifted But he is far better at it than these guys.I really feel like they tried to take advantage of him.

Rick is very nice and reasonably priced. I went in to get new tires and they came in the next day. He put them on quickly and didn't try to rip me off like other places. Will always be customer here.Service: Tires

Rick did an awesome job on my car. Fixed the shaky steering wheel and put new tires on when I was in a crunch. Great prices and nice guy. Definitely recommend!

This is a great place to get your auto repairs, and for the record "I have tried them all in Hampstead."Also they understand where and when to save money on repairs... I have several vehicles, from old to new and they are able to do them all. I was a first-hand witness to a man that came into the store to make a down payment on a repair that the owner did in an emergency and it was obvious what had occurred. The gentleman thanked the owner profusely for helping him and letting him pay over time. I just think that is so understanding and helpful to a person in need. Car repairs are expensive and we need our vehicles and so you don't find this kind of good service anymore... I almost hate to put this out there because it’s already very busy there... Anyway this is a real story and very worth telling... Coupled with my previous experiences I highly recommend this car repair center... Good luck and safe motoring. Cadillac Joe …

Transferring from NY to MD, and was trying to get an inspection. Tried this place, because it was the nearest and they told me that they can see my car the next day... i had made the worst decision! I left my car early (9am) the next day for a MD state inspection, didn’t get any updates throughout the day. I called 3pm, 5pm, 6pm and every time they said that they were still working on it and would get back to me. Worried (their shop close at 6pm), i asked if i’ll be able to get my car that night. They said they’ll call me. I didn’t get called until 7:15pm. They reported that i need new rear brakes and rotors, and that they wouldn’t get the parts until next week monday/ tuesday. They charged me 100$ for state inspection.I left my car on a monday night, called EVERY single day late at night 5pm until i got my car back on Thursday night. They don’t give updates on your car unless you call them to ask for it. I was also asking for a quote / estimate everyday , but they were unable to provide one stating that they were waiting for the right brake/rotor parts to come by. Fishy fishy!At my last car checkup in a chevy dealership ,I previously got an estimate of 500$ for repairs. I researched internet also and it said that it might cost 400-750$ for getting new rear brakes and 4 rotors.So to my surprise, they charged me 1,400-1,500$ for the rear brakes and rotors!!! Such a big ripoff! I should have seen the reviews here first before going to them. It also took them 3 whole freaking days to get my car sorted out. They didn’t give me an estimate timeframe. It is also equivalent to 3 off days i have to take away from work because i didn’t have my car with me!I never would have gone to them if I wasn’t in a hurry to get my registration fixed here in MD!Service: Brakes
